I have to admit when Em first came out I was one of the ignorant people that didn't give him a chance because I thought he was just another Vanilla Ice. My friend, after a long time of begging, finally got me to pop in the Slim Shady LP. It was this song that instantly got me hooked to Eminem. I've never heard lyricism like this before. I had no idea. I couldn't put that album down. This was back in like 2000 so I was 15.

I saw another one of your reactions to something else. I can't remember what it was, but it was great. I then decided, out of a love for this classic song, that I'd specifically search for reactions to it. I just came from a video where two dudes watched this for the first time, and they literally just laughed the whole time. It threw me off so hard because I can't imagine not having any kind of sympathy for a story like that, even if it isn't fully real. Thanks for giving a genuine human reaction. So refreshing after watching that last one.

You should react to Vanilla Ice - Ice Ice Baby I know people have been clowning Vanilla Ice for the past 32 years and for good reason because his albums aren't good, and although he did love hiphop culture he went about it the wrong way and came off as a big Poser. But despite that Ice Ice Baby is a hot track, idc what anyone says. Also this song brain damage has one of the best beats from the Slim Shady Ep.
@trajectoryunown3 жыл бұрын
Vanilla Ice isn't really a bad rapper. Certainly not great, but I'd definitely argue that he's above average. "To the extreme I rock a mic like a vandal, light up the stage, and wax a chump like a candle." Dated lingo aside, that's a hard-ass bar. It's just that whole corporate image he got saddled with that adversely impacted his standing in the hip hop community. It was basically click-bait from the jump: *:o This White Boy Can RAP!?* Label said "Let's surround him with some dark skinned fellas to give him credibility." It's a damned shame. The industry has always been a shit show that blends equal parts greed and racism behind the scenes. I can't even fully blame Vanilla Ice though. When somebody's going through life struggling to make a dime then a label shows up and offers a million dollars to dress like a clown and dance around a little bit... I think anyone would be hard pressed to honestly say they wouldn't at least seriously consider it.

this song always reminds me of a time at my brothers high school these couple of skin heads kept beating up on this kid and no one would do anything about it and one day they threw him down a set of stairs the kid went and got the lock of his locker and waited for one of them in the hallway and cracked the bully over the head with the lock he got sent to the hospital and needed like 30 stitches and wound up paralyzed ppl dont realize theres only so much they can put up with until they finally let the anger get the best of them
