I was dealing with my own demons, personally and multiple substances, when this song came out. I got sober the same year Em did. He's only a few years older than me and I swear that man and I lived so much of the same shit that his catalog could be very much a script of my life. He is my favorite star of all time, across all genres of music, sports, etc. Thank you for the reaction, this song used to be so sad for me... But when I hear it now, I'm all smiles knowing the path I chose to take 12 years ago. If you haven't already, do Castle AND Arose in one reaction(it's a part 1 & 2 kind of thing). Tells the true story of his overdose. So much power in those songs.

This song is part of his Recovery album which the world saw as Eminem's return to greatness. Relapse was before this one and it still sold good and was kind of a dope album but even Em himself said that he looked it up couple years later and cringed at it because of the accents and just constant rhyming with not much bars/meaning behind it. Then few years later he released MMLP2.. Boy at that time the whole industry knew who the greatest is and many rappers subconsciously admitted it. MMLP2 is my favorite Eminem album, "Bad Guy" is the song you guys already reacted to, its the sequel to "Stan", that one is on MMLP2 album and many people said that the last verse on that song is also "The verse of the decade". You need to listen to difficult by eminem. It was a song that he never ended up finishing or releasing. I think it was a little bit too hard for him to actually do at that time. You can definitely hear it in his voice. You can hear it crack a couple times when he's talking about proof in his casket. I know there is a version somewhere where there's a chorus. But I almost like it better when he just leaves the chorus empty. I watched some old guy do a reaction to it and he f****** bawled his eyes out the whole time
