"Beautiful" is a great one too. My personal favorite for a lot of reasons. One being that it's something I still struggle with, which is depression. And when this song came out, I was in my early 20s & had been in a very dark place. And my dad, who has now passed on told me that song reminded him of me. And for my dad to say that too me hits different now that he's gone, because we had a very strained relationship for years before he died. Now... When I hear it, I think of him now. Em is a real dude, man!!

I had to go to rehab for a few months. And this CD came out while I was in there. One of the RN made me a copy and I listened to it through our my whole stay. It helped me get through what I was going through. I felt like a could relate to most of the songs. It became and still is my favorite em CD. Been clean and sober for over 20 years now.

It just occurred to me that he’s “talk to himself” literally. Like he made this song specifically to hear these words in the song outloud “you’ve pouted long enough admit you’re brain is clouded…” I just never really thought about it for those two verses he is quite literally saying those words outloud to himself and letting everyone else in on what’s he’s battling within himself. You dead right about the reason eminem has such a huge and loyal fan base. I think you mention in another video that he opens his life up to the listener and you can follow along. It is like that. Because what other rappers do you know the names of their kids/ex-wife/mom. He is honest about it too. Weirdly honest when you think about it. And like you said in this video, he has songs for everyone. He doesn't write like a normal rap artist. One huge thing he has that other rappers don't is that he can write good hooks! A good hook makes a average song great.

EMINEM’s most underrated album is Revival. Dude went hard as hell and did a lot of insane punches and metaphors that everyone just ignored because before the album came out the track list leaked and everybody saw the features and all said it was going to be trash because they were already looking for any reason to hat on him anyway. Yes he featured Beyoncé, Ed Sheeran, Kelani, Pink, and Alicia Keys and those songs went hard too. A lot of people didn’t like it because there was a lot of anti-Trump talk in it. They also felt he was virtue signaling with one track on there called Untouchable talking about the struggle of African Americans in today’s America thinking he was just trying to be a culture vulture, but he got people like Lebron James and all kinds of celebrities, even Martin Luther King Jr.’s daughter thanking him on KZbin for taking his time to understand the situation and to use his platform as a celebrity and a white man to call attention to these issues. The very last two songs in the album Castles and Arose you have to do together in that exact order because they are basically two halves of a larger song and if you pay very close attention to the end of the second track there is a surprise that you wouldn’t get if you didn’t listen to the other song first right before it.
