You succeeded very well with your Finnish pronunciation. There are many fun songs on that album, E.g. 'Little Dreamer (Väinämöinen Part II)', which is in English, though. For same kind of atmosphere and in Finnish, there's Moonsorrow: "Moonsorrow - Jumalten Kaupunki". When Jari left Ensiferum, Petri Lindroos from Norther joined the band: "Norther- Mirror of Madness" and "Ensiferum - In My Sword I Trust". More literal battle metal: "TURISAS - Battle Metal 2008 (OFFICIAL VIDEO)". Following with a party: "KORPIKLAANI - Wooden Pints" and "Finntroll - Trollhammaren". And there you have it, the Finnish folk metal 'BIG 5' (Ensiferum, Moonsorrow, Turisas, Korpiklaani and Finntroll). Amorphis being their forefather: "Amorphis - My Kantele (Acoustic Reprise)". From black metal bands there is Havukruunu, which goes to same landscape: "Havukruunu - Uinuos Syömein Sota".

The first two Ensiferum albums have Jari on vocals/guitar, and they are both GREAT albums. There are harsh vocals as well, just not on Lai Lai Hei. Personally, I don't care much for post-Jari Ensiferum, just a song or two.

To inform you more about ensiferum they use viking folklore in their music like Wintersun the band even dresses in viking clothes when they perform too but you said it had a mediveal sound yes but the Viking age occurred during the mediveal age. And when hard rock used to be music that was ‘harder’ than rock? heavy metal (or just ‘metal’) made it's debut and was much more aggressive. Then everything sped up and their was [very briefly] a tag called “speed metal.” Then it splintered-off into all things “thrash metal”, “death metal.” Some bands joined “hardcore” music with metal and it was labelled “hardcore” or “crossover. Then everything went “BLACK.” metal ‘sped’ up, what about when it slowed ‘down’? Simple = just call it DOOM. Then in the 90’s all the “nu-metal”, “rap metal” metal surfaced. What are the accepted slang words or adjectives used in the past decade? “thrash metal” and “speed metal” are still hanging in there “true metal”. All the others, of the sub-genre race and the splintering of the music scene into tiny micro sub genres.
