The next one has to be his trip to Saudi Arabia. It's an equally hilarious look at another culture. What I like about both of them (and much of his stuff in general) is that, while he makes a lot of jokes about other cultures, he is always deeply respectful of them.

as a german I have 2 things to say: I love how Fluffy kinda educates people about different cultures or behaviours with his comedy (with a delivery that no one things badly about it or is offended) even though he uses stereotypes to make fun of people but you kind of understand immediately that he does not mean it in a bad way and Fanta was actually invented in Germany due to the lack of Coca Cola ingredient supplies in/before WW2 if I remember it correctly. :D
@nekane6168
@nekane6168 2 жыл бұрын
Didn't know that! Thanks.💕 And stereotypes are used in comedy because well used are really funny. And the people Who gets offended is because they don't know laughing at themselves. That's an insecurity. I, at least, laugh a lot with the jokes that use Basque stereotypes.

@sadee1287

Truthfully, it's hardly ever an American thing. Most Americans who live for any length of time outside the US realize just how much better life is in Europe -- better healthcare, benefits, tuition, and most of all SAFETY. Their kids can ride a bike and go exploring and they don't have to hover and tote them by car everywhere. They realize what a false bill of goods they were sold in the US -- being told that it's the "greatest" country and no one is as "free" as they are. It's quite a shock to their system to finally see the truth. And quite a few don't want to go back.

And here there’s so many songs and poems about loving your country and how heartbreaking it is whenever you have to leave.

"He should do some sort of voice acting." He does! He even offered to do the entire cast of Space Jam for half the cost! (Also, the "interesting things happening to people" depends on how observant you are, and how engaging in events you become. If you are lost in your own world and don't notice what's going on around you, and if you do notice, you ignore them, then nothing exciting will happen to you. However, if you are very observant, interesting things happen around you all the time. And if you care about what's going on around you and get involved, then you will be included in those interesting things. Easy.)
@FPLEsto
@FPLEsto 2 жыл бұрын
Agreed, I think those interesting things happen to a lot of people, but comedians just remember them better because that's their job, and they spice those stories up also I think depending on a comedian. I'm not saying that others forget those interesting things entirely, they just don't make a story out of those interesting things happening to them.

Besides that English language as an international language is being learned at the most places in the world even in public education from elementary schools. So don't be afraid, it is more possible to find someone to speak some English in almost every part of the world than to not .

As someone born and raised in England but culturally Pakistani, trust me we definitely feel grateful coming back to England. Even when I visited Paris, it was sooo different and yh it's beautiful but the culture was just so different that when we met other Brits we clung to eachother for the duration of our trips. Getting home is just a great feeling, especially the appreciation for what you have compared to others. Also my old manager had been to Vegas on a business trip and said the culture shocks were quite aggressive if you don't expect it. He also broke down the tipping culture for us and it was the first I'd heard of it so that was... Something.

Great reaction. I really like Gabriel as well, and I'm glad you decided to do a long set of his. Consider reacting to his trip to Saudi Arabia -- it's also dope. Regarding such events as Gabriel described not happening to you -- they do. It's just that you aren't perceiving events with the off-kilter mind of a comedian. For example, you might go to a restaurant for breakfast and order a Spanish omelet. The waitress tells you they're out, and you accept the statement with minor disappointment and order something else. Gabriel and other comedians could expand that event into a five-minute story which would keep a smile on your face the whole time.

I would argue "Go to another country" doesn't apply to everywhere. I have traveled and I just felt even more like "Wow I am living in hell" when I came back to America. An example would be I had a medical emergency in Japan and had to go to the hospital and was afraid because I only spoke tourist Japanese, but they handed me a tablet to facetime with a doctor who spoke English, I spent a night there, and when I came back to take care of my bill it was like $600 for a whole overnight stay in the emergency room and they were SUPER kind to me the whole time.

i can agree with you on that, but people still need to broaden their horizons, My experience was Germany (loved it), Ireland (going back eventually), Iraq was the most eye opening, very friendly when you breach the language barrier lots of google translate involved, but the lack of basic comforts the struggle for equal and quality education, and the political and religious strife in their government and military, definately made me realize that the shit we complain about here is nothing compared to the majority of countries. there is always things we need to improve of course

I feel like we-as Americans-are very spoiled and take advantage of what we have here without even realizing it because we're so used to it that we expect things all the time. That to me is a big reason why I think it's important for us to travel outside the U.S. if we ever get the chance so we can truly appreciate what we have in our home country.

What's great about comedians, is they get to say everything we think everyday. But its so much more funny when it comes from the warped mind of a comedian !.. lol

This is a good example of manifesting that actually does work. You asked how this happens to these people. They think, act and express what they're thinking, so it comes to them, almost as a gift to make their shows ...

I was born and raised in Guatemala. I understood American culture since the age of 4. I felt more American than I felt Guatemalan 😂 grew up watching shows like Family Matters IN English, watching the news from the U.S., watching baseball, basketball, football, thanksgiving day parade AND MTv!!!! So I knew slang, I knew the under culture of the U.S. as seen on TV I guess haha. I thought my transition immigrating would be easy but it wasn’t because a lot of people didn’t understand me 😂. Also foreign people, me included, don’t get offended as much as people here in the U.S. do 🫢 He tells jokes on Mexican people which a lot of it applies to the rest of us Hispanics and my heart stops 🤣🤣🤣 it’s so funny to hear about stuff you do and the rest of your peeps do and you know IT IS TRUE 😂😂😂😂😂 Yes we move our head back and forth when we’re pissed off 🙌🏻 🤣🤣🤣 I kissed the ground when I finally moved the U.S. trust me I was kissing the crap out of the ground here in the U.S. knowing that I made it, that I could potentially have a shot in my life and be safe and walk around safe etc etc! I love this country for what it has given me. Now I get to travel all around the world and I love it but it makes me appreciate this country even more ❤

And I just thought like fluffy: “Why does that sounds familiar???🤔🤔🤔🤔 THAT’S EVERY FAMILY IN MEXICO!!!! No matter how small the car is or how many people they are, there’s always space 🤣🤣🤣🤣

As a Canadian - originally from Kenya Nairobi, the gall that some Americans and Canadians have to complain about their lives is amazing! Simple things like calling 911 and hearing them say officers have been dispatched. Calling the authorities in Kenya, many times my parents and other family members have said they called and were told they don't have anyone available to come or they don't have a vehicle available. That's why Nairobi has mob justice. If you steal in Nairobi and are caught, you will be dealt with promptly. Last time I was there I witnessed an individual caught for stealing, they put a tire around him and lit it on fire.

Yes, Fluffy's (and other comedian's) stories are funny as ever... But keep in mind that often times story-tellers do embellish. This is to exaggerate or add some details which makes that story a little more colorful or exciting. 😀

If you are observant when every day life is going on around you, you will find the humor in it. Look more, think more, talk less and let the events absorb into your mind. Life is freaking hilarious, you just have to turn off the noise in your head and listen.
