6:10 you can clearly see him activating it for the tapping part. Hese tuned the same as Christian, other guitarist, and i’m pretty sure they do the exact same pattern, but Joe (singer) is an octave or 2 up. The solo part he uses the side of the pick to get that quick and clear tapping sound (reminds me of Surfing with the Alien from Joe Satriani). Up next Oroborus Live Eurockeenes. Cheers!

Yes it's a whammy pedal... Gojira has worked it into their overall sound along with the guitar slides and pinch harmonics..Peace from the Northeast

as a young person who doesnt use elipsis in the same way can i ask what your use of it is? its an odd question but ive seen it so much and never gotten to ask why other people use it differently

It does sound like one guitar with the wammy and one without. Lovebites uses this pedal on some of their songs and DragonForce uses them quite often as well.

I’m a month late but, anything with tapping has the whammy involved. I believe the verse riff has it too, but less than the tapping. And as far as I’ve seen live, both guitarists are playing the same thing the entire time except for the solos. They love their whammy though, lots of their songs use it; Only Pain, Stranded, New Found and Hold On.

The "brutal" part is the verse, and the melodic tapping is the chorus, you'll know that by the repetition of the lyrics.

If you for some reason want to get absolutely destroyed, check Clone (2010 Vieilles Charrues live) or Indians (same show or The Link Alive). These are probably even more brutal than Remembrance.
