As an older person, I grew up to songs that told a story one way, and as time passed, Rap / Hip Hop came along to tell stories another. I enjoy the knowledge, emotions, and stories these songs tell - some more serious, some of love, and some just for a laugh. If you want to enjoy some of these stories, try 'Father and Son' by Cat Stevens - or 'Time in a bottle' by Jim Croce. There are many, many great songs out there and am so glad you want to expand your knowledge of them all.

There's another reactor I used to watch a lot a couple years back who had the same story with Iron Maiden T-Shirt he wore. He decided to check out and react to a song by them to educate himself and then you know what - he fell in love with the music and checked out like a dozen of their tracks!! If you're interested, you may want to listen to Guns N' Roses "Welcome to the Jungle." It was one of many, many songs used to force Manuel Noriega out of hiding in a Vatican embassy in Panama City in 1990. The US Army used "music torture" to capture him. They played music 24/7 on massive speakers outside of his hiding place to drive him crazy enough that he would surrender. I'm old enough to remember when this happened. The playlist we used is extensive, but also includes Judas Priest, Oingo Boingo, Rick Astley, Kiss, Van Halen, Tom Petty, Led Zeppelin and many more. Whenever I hear some of these songs, I can't help but laugh. I think the playlist is on KZbin.

I loved your facial expressions getting into it. Always nice to see a fellow fan’s reaction. My parrots are big fans too and we did a Vid of my cockatoo doing the Axl snake dance & my other bird just randomly started doing the baseline for Rocket Queen one day & things went total gnr in our household after that. Lol. 😂 I did some song reviews and a concert review. I love seeing other peoples reactions. You should talk a bit a more… if I were to give polite tips, cuz you’re good at this, about what you liked about the song, what the song means, & how it impacted people across the world at the time it came out cuz this song was major. They were a transitional band in an era when formulaic hair bands were on their way out and peeps were tired of it but weren’t quite open minded enough for new things. Because of GNR’s diverse range putting elements of blues, classic rock, de*th metal & even country in their music, they opened listener’s minds to new possibilities and fans fell in love with them and that’s why they had such a major impact. But I rarely see song reviewers discussing the cultural impacts at the time this band or one of their songs had. For example, Scraped taught ladies it was ok to say no. Back then there was the youth homeless crisis and women may have been getting taken advantage eod out there or felt that was their only option. Nightrain ended up coming to symbolize helping people which you wouldn’t think would be the cultural impact of a song about… drinking cheap stuff but it was. People organized feed the homeless days where they played this song in many major cities as they handed out food to homeless people. If you heard Nightrain in your city it sometimes meant you could find food that day. So a lot of their songs ended up having huge impacts and creating these miracles everywhere which is why fans stood by them and supported them. I discuss some of this in my stuff for those interested. Loved your reaction! You’re fun to watch. I can see why viewers like you. Keep it up! I’d just say add a bit more detail. Research the song a bit and learn why it was written and how it charted at the time, and help educate other fans out there cuz I’m noticing a lot of new Millennial fans who often don’t even seem to know what a song they’re reviewing is about. And art is meant as a form of expression so is always about something they care about. Otherwise art would be meaningless. So I’d like to see reviewers being the art and message back to the music they’re reviewing. Keep up the good reviews!

Aren't you aware that others will see the shirt, think you are a fan of this particular music and judge you by it?
