"Man of Constant Sorrow" (also known as "I Am a Man of Constant Sorrow") is a traditional American folk song first published by Dick Burnett, a partially blind fiddler from Kentucky. The song was originally titled "Farewell Song" in a songbook by Burnett dated to around 1913

@michaelwilson94833 жыл бұрын
@@GopherBaroque61 You obviously missed the point and I'll try to be less rude in my reply to you. Adam's great arrangement of "Do You Hear What I Hear" is Austin singing tenor, Tim singing bass, Rob singing tenor, and Chris singing bass/baritone. Nothing new. Mayday is *not* that. It far better demonstrates *the individual singers'* range (and I do believe I _did_ mention their names and didn't say "Home Free's range"). Being deliberately obtuse won't win you any friends.

Home Free is the real deal. All “a cappella” so no instruments which is amazing. They are all talented singers. Tim Foust, the bass, has a 5 octave range so he can sing in the depths and sing high too. Adam Rupp, the beatboxer, is a freak of nature. He has a KZbin video Adam Rupp Drum Solo which is outstanding. This song is actually over 100 years old and was made popular by O Brother Where Art Thou. The boys sing country but also sing all genres of music. End of the Road, Helplessly Hoping, In the Blood, I Can’t Outrun You, Folsom Prison Blues, to hear great harmonies and more bass. Good reaction TV!

You never seem to notice the twangy sounding instrument which is the first and last things you hear and all throughout the song. That's from Adam Chance -- called Chance because there already was an Adam in the band when he joined -- in the black vest sounding like a jews harp, also called a jaw or mouth harp. You can see him doing it in the closeup on the tale end of the video. And I have to ask if you've reacted to Mayday by Home Free. I think you're ready for it now.

All them -- no studio sound effects. From what I understand, in live concerts Austin (the tenor that started this off) joins Adam Rupp (the beatboxer we affectionately call the 'Freak of Nature') in the harmonica solo part. Adam Chance (just called Chance to avoid confusion) is the one doing the sound of the mouth harp. To get a SMALL taste of what Adam can do, check out one of his 'drum'solos. The man has swallowed a drum kit, and snacks on other instruments so he can 'play' them for us at will. Oh, and he also has a beautiful voice, and can harmonize just as well as the others. I'll let other Home Fries give suggestions for songs -- it doesn't matter WHAT song you pick, OR what genre it's in, you won't go wrong. One caution -- if you decide to keep reacting to Home Free, do NOT do Mayday until you get to know each of our guys and their voices and styles of singing. When you can put names to the voices with your eyes closed, THEN do Mayday. We can ALWAYS tell when someone picks Mayday too soon. Yes, it's amazing on its own merits, but you'll miss the truly jaw dropping moments if you listen too soon. Trust me, it's worth the wait! I don't normally subscribe to Reactors until after I've watched at least 2 or 3 of them doing Home Free. I'm going to subscribe to your channel, however, because I have a feeling you're going to be 'real' -- basically it was your comment about them having to have used studio sound effects. As you get to know our boys, they're going to blow you away with their sheer talent. One last thing ... The bass, Tim Foust -- you ain't seen nothin' yet, as the saying goes!!!

Agree.. with one caveat. There is a trifecta. Pentatonix, Home Free and Voice Play. Each one has a slightly different slant, but they are tops. Geoff Castelucci, Avi Kaplan and Tim Faust are frequently giving each other props. They arrange for each other as well. Penta tends toward pop, HF has country down, VP leans to musicals/disney.
