I fell in love with Mr. Darius Rucker the minute I first heard this song. It's been on every play list I've ever had... and ever shall be. Love the song... love his voice... So happy you chose this song.

Awe our local fella... Love Hootie. Not original lyrics in this. Literally dancing in my bed. I listen to his country now and I honestly forget about his OG stuff. The 90’s were so good.

Early 90’s Hootie was so big so fast that they had the inevitable backlash that comes with it. Cracked Rear View was a great album at the right time. Darius has an amazing voice. Scattered Smothered and Covered is still my favorite album from them

You did a reaction to him as a solo artist 5 months ago so that's why he sounds familiar. Hootie and the Blowfish had a great run of popular songs but Darius Rucker left the band to pursue a career as a solo country singer. I agree that he has a fantastic voice.

My mom had a drug problem when I was a teenager. This was the song that sort of defined and helped me cope with my relationship with her at the time.
@jasonbriggs18532 жыл бұрын
I feel this. Me and my best friend fell into drugs growing up. I was able to get off of them a few years ago, she hasn't been so lucky. This song is exactly the things you go through. Wanting to leave, not being able to, trying to support them but trying to take care of yourself as you die inside.

Yep. Hints of country on all the Hootie albums. Would love to see a reaction to “it won’t be like this for long”….I found that song not long after my daughter was born and it had me in tears.
@NobodyUR2 жыл бұрын
He hasn’t really changed just backing music to his vocals changed. Rock changed for sure from Straight rap. Numeral- rock- rock with country vibe then straight country. More power to him as you age some preference change. I still like the 90-2004ish music but I find myself on the 60s channels 🤷🏻♂️

I first heard Hootie back in '95 when my brother handed me a recording of a late night radio show whose primary feature was to give air to new bands/music. This track was on that tape and I was in love with them before it had finished! I went out and bought Cracked Rear View almost immediately and loved it from back to front on the 1st listen...and I've loved every album the same since then! They never seemed to get off the ground here in The UK and I'd long since thought I'd missed the chance to see them live but them then, like a miracle, they came back with a new record and the "Group Therapy" tour in 2019 and I finally got to see them in Manchester!! What a wonderful, wonderful night!! I don't think the smile left my face for hours and I sang almost every word!! The one regret is that I walked right past Mark Bryan and Dean Felber on my way back to my car, they were just chilling and chatting with a bunch of people by the tour bus...should have stopped to at least shale their hands, ah well! I've very proudly got the tour poster and my ticket framed and hanging on my wall. I just love them! And my man here, MrLboyd Reacts, dude if you're not using your voice to make a living, why not?! That's a voiceover/radio voice if I've ever heard one! Great video man, thanks for sharing! I'll be checking out the rest of your work now, for sure. Best regards from The UK!

Darius Rucker is an awesome singer and his live shows are great. I have seen him in concert 3 times. Once when he was Hootie and the Blowfish, once when he started singing in the country genre and once when he came out to sing a couple of songs with Edwin McCain. Edwin McCain is great as well. Darius helped Edwin get his music career started. Anyway, anything you chose from Darius Rucker is worth the time to listen to. Take care.

I was with a girl for eight years. She was my everything, my entire world. We were inseparable for many years, but I had health issues that were continually getting worse which caused a lot of strain on our relationship, and there was a lot going on around us as well. Eventually she started drinking a lot and became an alcoholic like her father had, and her new group of friends where she worked did not help whatsoever because they encouraged her terrible decisions. Then I caught her cheating with someone that I called a friend for a long time, but like a fool I didn't give up on her and I gave her another chance. By the end of it I was putting in all that I had to try to fix things and get back to that love that we had once before, but she finally left me 2 days before Christmas in 2020. It's been a couple years now and it hurts everyday. My health has continued to get worse but I keep trying. I don't know what the future holds, but I'll keep going as long as I can. I told you that story to tell you this. When she left, this song was on repeat for weeks and it really helped me get through it. Even now when I listen to this song I can't describe with words the amount of emotion that courses through every part of who I am with each note. Keep up the great work, I love the channel. Much love, brother. 🤘
