Andrew is the drummer during the period of the band. He is now the keyboardist after some lineup changes. Devin now sings and screams everything. This song is about their mother becoming an alcoholic and being unable to pay for their bills causing them a lot of pain due to her addiction. The band has changed on their album treehouse but in my opinion is such a great mature sound.

I’d be embarrassed if I cared what others thought of what music I liked or enjoy. I don’t hang around people who “can be embarrassed “ by anything. Electronicore is sub-genre of metalcore. Basically it's metalcore with electronic elements (keyboards and programming) added to it. This is one of the most typical electronicore songs. The clean vocalist and the drummer are brothers. The song is about their mother who was an alcoholic and left the family. The name "Murder Mitten" is the nickname for the state of Michigan where the band is from. It has a shape of a mitten on a map. You should listen to their other song called "Ten Thousand Feet". It is also great. Same genre.

This song also such a deep meaning, in an interview they talked about this song and it was their mom who fell on hard times due to their father leaving and she turned to liquor and drugs to cope with the stress of life and having to deal with eviction and raising both boys

This has been one of my favorites by them for years now... i remember several of my buddies didn't really care for the electronic mix into metalcore when it first started becoming popular but i loved it!! Now there's too many to name that incorporates the exact same thing... now all you need is some Attack Attack!!!

I actually just got into these guys recently. The cleans definitely aren’t for everyone. If you decided to check out another song, I’d say Running With Scissors (it’s the first song I heard from them and got me into them) or Violent Bounce (some real good heavy breakdowns)

Everyone has their own opinion, they have many great songs the cleans are what makes I see stars I see stars. Ten thousand feet, filth friends unite, violent bounce are all great songs! You just don’t like high cleans for long periods of time and that’s understandable but lots of people are polar opposite especially with this band😂

This whole freaking album along with their remixes are great. To bad they moved away from this sound cause this was prime I see stars. Issues is another band that makes this type of music, their black diamonds album a sure banger. Attack attack was a big influence in this genre and I'm talking self titled and some day came suddenly aa, those guys laid a foundation for bands like I see stars.
