I saw Joe perform live in Albuquerque when this album came out and had just lost my man. He was not well know at the time and I got 3rd row tickets. Blown away, best concert ever along with Tedeschii Trucks band who you should also check out.

I’ve been listening to Joe Bonamassa for years now and you have just scratched the surface. He has soooo many amazing performances just like this and if I were to guide you to any of his performances I’d shout out to check out any number of songs from his live performance at the Royal Albert Hall. Check out his song “ Just Got Paid”. By the way. The keyboard player is none other that Reese Wynans the keyboard player for Stevie Ray Vaughan. You are in for a great ride with Mr Bonamassa. His name is pronounced Bon as in Bong.

FYI, slow gin is a type of gin flavored with blackmore fruit. Joe Bonamassa was a child prodigy who opened for B B King when he was 12 years old. He is one of the best guitarists on the planet. He has 16 albums that reached number one on the Billboard Blues charts. Check out his collaborations with Beth Hart.

First time viewer to you, First time I listened to Joe B I was like you. What rock has he been hiding under! You have just had a taste of his talent with this guy. Do yourself a big favor. Get the whole soundtrack or watch “Live from the Royal Albert Hall” from 2010. The versions of Sloe Gin, Mountain Time, Happier Days are classic. You’ll be totally hooked. Seen him live 6 times in the last 10 years. Twice at the Chicago Theatre.

This song was originally sung by.....Tim Curry, believe it or not.. Joe or someone in his crowd heard it and they decided to play with it and remix. To me, this version at Red Rocks is the best. He has so many great songs, Mountain Time, Ball Peen Hammer, I'll play the blues for you... Etc.

For as much as I love Bonamassa and I hail him as one of the greatest I must admit there are one guitarist who's cover of "Sloe gin " is far better, try Miguel Montalban "Sloe gin live in Vienna" not much of a singer but his guitar work far exceed that of Bonamassa.
