Is Incredible the power of music, you were so touch, and you didnt understand the lyrics, but in this music, you could feel the emotions of him and the audience, this song is beautiful, I would recomend watching too more songs, hasta que te conoci and abrazame muy fuerte, both show the talent that Juan Gabriel was, but also show that he was a showman not just a singer, he play with the audience

Thank you again for taking some time to listen to my song request and film your reaction. Juan Gabriel is a legend in Mexico. His vocal skills and his support of hundreds of upcoming artists are unmatched. This is a great example of how languages transcend music. You don't need to understand the language to understand the feelings it causes you. This song has been covered by hundreds of vocalists but his original version remains unmatched. Juan Gabriel wrote this for his mother upon her death. He was an exceptional live performer. The last part of the song which is almost like a dialogue was all ad lib on the spot. His band was well trained on watching Juan Gabriel and picking up on his verbal and body clues. Even the conductor kept his eyes on Juan Gabriel because at any given moment he would change the way the song went. My daughter sang this at my mother's funeral. It was very special because it was not only one of my mother's favorite songs but it was the first time I heard my daughter sing and she was 23 years old at the time! She is extremely shy and was too shy to even let me hear her. I cried more at that moment of course. Thank you again for your sincere and heartfelt reaction.

We Mexicans, even in America, play this during any funeral, as it is so emotional and completely explains how much that person is and will forever be missed until we all finally reunite again. 😪

I think is talking about his big sister, who was the "real mother for him" the one that took care of him not his mother, but she got sick, I think she pass a long time in the Hospital, I hope someone could confirm this

You should put the english lyrics on. This song was dedicated to his mother that passed away. Its played at many many funerals. He loved his mother so even when she left him as a child in a orphanage. She never showed him love but he kept on loving her. Please check out Hasta que te conoci from the same concert venue. I think he was the first artist of this music to ever get to play at this theatre

Music and love; things we’re capable of perceiving that transcend dimensions of time and space. Maybe we should trust them, even if we can’t understand them

KZbin has a function for automatic translation of the subtitles to your language. You need to activate that option after activating the subtitles in Sapanish. If you want the full experience of Juan Gabriel's performances you need to have the lyrics. Juan Gabriel wrote more than 1,800 songs, please react to other songs of him, like Hasta que te conocí (en vivo desde el Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes) from this same concert. And if you want to hear the choirs, please react to De Mí Enamórate also from this same concert.

You should add subtitles the next time you react to a song with a foreign language

You are lucky. You did not activate the subtitles in english. Otherwise, you would have swapped the guitar for a box of Kleenex
