First Time Hearing Jung Kook, Usher - Standing Next To You (Usher Remix)

71 year old BTS Army here. This track is totally late '70s, early 80's Retro disco funk and was announced as a subtle homage to MJ. This is Jung kook's song and Usher is the feature artist and it appears that he wrote some of his own verse. Please react to his two other mega hits "Seven Feat Latto" and "3D Feat Jack Harlow" and the original MV for "Standing Next to You" if you haven't already. Just so you know, none of JK's solo releases have anything to do with Kpop other than JK is S. Korean. All of JK's solo releases including his just released album "Golden" are all in English. There are no S. Korean songwriters, producers, recording studios or MV shooting directors or locations, etc. He is blowing past Kpop and jumping head first into the American pop market. He is using American Grammy Award winning songwriters, producers, recording in the U.S. and filming at mostly U.S. locations such as Universal Studios in Hollywood. The original MV track for this song, however, is filmed at an abandoned power plant in Budapest, Hungary. The director is a very famous Ukrainian director who has directed for Harry Styles and many others. This Usher remix is filmed in L.A. His self professed dream of being a giant pop star has clearly begun in a big way! BTW, there are now at least 3 live performances. iHeart Radio, Jimmy Fallon Show, The Today Show, and there is a KILLER Official Choreo Version. He recently performed 5 songs at the TSX stage in Times Square, NYC. Only the third artist to ever been invited to perform there besides Post Malone and PDiddy. This Usher Remix Performance is ICONIC and a dream come true for JK. JK's solo achievements are the biggest of the BTS group. ALL of BTS members are in the military now for 18 months as of Dec.12 including Jung Kook. JK's solo album "Golden" is over to 2 billion streams now since Nov. 2. Thank you for your reaction! 💜

JK never makes a bad song, and SNTY takes the cake. It’s an extraordinary song in a very long line of incredible songs. He is that good. BTS members are that talented. They’re very talented, incredibly hard working, strategic, go above and beyond in everything, and that is why they’re massive. They deserve every good thing they get.

BTS have been collaborating with Western artists for years now. I think Steve Aoki might have been the first, but I could be wrong. They have also worked with Wale, Charlii XcX, Zara Larsson, J Cole, Lauv, Ed Sheeran, Becky G, Coldplay, Halsey and many more. JK featured Latto and Jack Harlow on the previous singles before this one, and he also featured on The Kid Laroi's single with Central Cee recently. In fact, it was Idol ft. Nicki Minaj that actually broke them in the West. They have always been extremely strategic about who they choose to partner with.
