the guy on drums and percussions is Katrina's late husband, Mike Shapiro. he was an awesome musician eho worked with some of the most amazing artists in the world. he even did projects with Disney. unfortunately, he passed away last November after being married to Katrina for 6 months. Katrina had to take time off everything and came back a few months ago. she's a strong woman and she's very passionate about her craft and Mike would've wanted her to keep pushing and that's what she's doing now. in fact, she'll be having her US tour this September-October, i think.

I never get weary with Katrina's "Latin Medley". She is incredible! This medley is phenomenal, and the band is astounding. You need to delve into some KZ Tandingan. A good start is her cover of Rolling in the Deep on the Singer 2018. She was competing against Jessie J. JJ won the season but on that song, KZ won the week. She's an ultimate performer. If you happen not to like the intro, hang in, it's just the intro.

Yes, Katrina Velarde is a superstar singer like Morisette Amon another super singer. There are a number of amazing young Filipina singers but Morisette, Katrina stand out with KZ Tandingan and Gigi de Lana who are also popular on KZbin.
