“Beggin’ Keith” is what we called him because in his jams he sounded like he was begging all in the name of love lol. He had the RnB scene on 🔥 back in the day. That whole album is full of hits 🔥 He even has a radio show on I-Heart radio called the Sweat Hotel where he plays all the slow jams..❤️

I can't believe you havnt reacted to Keith yet. Thus is actually late 80's. This was my senior prom theme.😊. This was the beginning of the New Jack Swing Soumd that dominated the 90's. His career continued on into the early 2000's. Men always called his music begging music. LOL. Try listening to 'Nobody" and "There you go Tellin' me no again" He has so many hits.

Keith Sweat is one of the best of the 80's and early 90's R&B scene. Actually when New Edition broke apart all of it's different singers went on to make great music both individually and by producing work for others. You really can't go wrong with them. In the case of Ralph Tresvant I recall that Michael Jackson actually wrote at least one of the songs on his solo album. Ralph was amazingly talented. You should really check out Tony Toni Toné, It Never Rains in Southern California. Check out Babyface for sure. Also check out After 7, like Ready or Not. There was so much great stuff during these decades.

Awesome baby! We used to go to the 'record store' to buy all the new 45's and rock out to the lyrics and music. These r&b dudes were legit, for real...no auto tune back then.
