I'm really glad that you reacted to Led Zeppelin. They are ultra talented musicians, and are considered one of the all time best rock bands. They are known for great song construction, great guitar riffs and drum solo's, fantastic vocals, and a whole lot of great performances. Based on your reaction, I would recommend reacting to Since I've Been Loving You live at MSG, 1973 official video, and their song Kashmir live at Knebworth 1979 official video. Great to watch live, but Led Zeppelin's studio performances are richer musically. They are the quintessential blues-inspired rock band. Most of their best work appears on their earlier albums, with albums I, II and IV being their best imo. Insanely good musicianship. Their entrance to the late 60's, early 70's music scene was like a supernova going off. That was a musical period when many top-tier bands entered the scene so several peers were outstanding as well, but nobody was better. Their power, energy, emotion and masterful musicianship in combination is unmatched. Universally regarded as one of the best bands in music recording history, if not at the very top.

I was 10 in 1971 when I was given the album this is from--Led Zeppelin II--and the second Jackson 5 album--ABC--the same Christmas, permanently wrecking my mind thereafter. I later went to see them (Zeppelin) in New York's Madison Square Garden 6 years later and they were as amazing as you'd expect. Sadly, I never saw the Jackson 5. Thank you for this. 💘

Headphones are mandatory for Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, RUSH and Yes etc... LZ is my all-time favorite band so I'll be here for it as a new sub. I would suggest "When the levee breaks" which is a cover of a song from 1929 about the flood of Mississippi in 1927. The drum intro is legendary and Robert (singer) on Harmonica is amazing. A true BLUES song! PS - speaking of blues you will want to watch Stevie Ray Vaughn doing Texas Flood at El Macambo live. If you ever heard of Robert Johnson selling his soul to the devil for becoming a guitar legend well I'd put this performance up against the devil himself! GOAT - you won't believe how he plays or how it makes you feel.

Zep was the pinnacle of rock evolution. Four guys at the top of the heap. Robert Plant on lead vocals, Jimmy Page on guitar, John Paul Jones on bass and occasionally keyboards, and John Bonham (RIP) on drums. Each one absolutely belonged there. They have a deep catalog to explore, but I would recommend their earlier, bluesier stuff - When The Levee Breaks, The Lemon Song, Heartbreaker, etc.

I was 12 when I first heard this song. I love so much of their stuff, but the opening riffs of this song still hit me in a visceral way. Last summer (2022) I met Robert Plant. I could do a one evening lecture at the local community college on this one song. That's how much is going on there. In terms of changing the course of music, I think this song did as much as I Wanna Hold Your Hand ten years earlier. It's on that level.
