@sharon brown Agree. I am 68. Love the way they touch the history and social aspects of the songs. They hit so much. History, social aspects, rhythms, instrumentations, the stories ("Let's see what he's telling us"), curiosity about the performers, the vocals, and on and on. Hope when COVID goes away that they can chase some music festivals to discover current lesser known talents, too.

Yes this is my uncle and Larry Graham (who's also a legend) is my second cousin. He's married to my cousin Tina Graham. I remember being young when they would practice in my aunt's house with Tower of Power and I used to run through the house and get in trouble for tripping over the mic cords...LOL. Teena Marie could blow. On her 1st album Berry Gordy (Founder of Motown) purposely didn't put her pic on the cover so people would love her before they saw her. Everybody thought she was Black. She was our honorary sister! Still love her. May she Rest In Peace

@@karenseard5574 when we were growing up music was pure and true. We were brought up to have respect for it, nowadays they like respect as a whole! Although there are a few of the youth nowadays that I can actually say I admire because the direction that they are going is bold and they think more than we did but sometimes I think some of them think a bit too much LOL a man talked about loving a woman not her WAP smh and you would never hear a black woman disrespect yourself like that in a song when I was growing up. Mind you there was one way back I think in the fifties that you may have to look up but she was pretty nasty but I never heard her album growing up! I didn't hear it until last year a grown woman grown grown woman LOL
