Welcome to the Wolfpack. Named after the Grammy winning song Love Bites (So Do I) by Halestorm. Asami has joined Lzzy and Halestorm at Download 2019 to perform that song. The outfits are their 'thing'. All their songs are in English. They describe themselves as heavy metal. Some songs, like this one, lean towards power metal, some towards thrash, and some ballads. You read the current lineup. Bassist Fami joined in Oct 2022. This concert is from 2020, original bassist , and band co-founder, Miho is seen here, she left in 2021. They have opened for Dragonforce. Bands like Metallica, Slayer, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, and Helloween are some of their influences. The purple guitar Midori is playing is an ESP. Miyako is playing a Dean, she is also classically trained on piano, concert pianist level ability. Haruna is a beast on drums, yep double bass. All are between 4'9" and 5'2". The main principles of the band presented by Miho, the founder and first bassist of LOVEBITES, are as follows. ①Heavy metal (basic policy) ②All English lyrics (strategy for global expansion) ③White costumes (Most metal bands wear black costumes, and if these short girls wore black costumes, they would be hidden, so they wear white costumes to contrast and stand out.) ④High heels (to compensate for short height) Miho also thought about the visual effects on stage. Asami will modify stage lighting effects etc. on-site. For white costumes, each person requests their preferences and ideas from the costume staff. P.S. They want to be described as a heavy metal band, not a female heavy metal band!

Fami joined the band in late 2022. Miho, a founder of the band, left in 2021 and the band took some time off due to that and weddings and kids. They are back and better than ever. All live music 2021 and before is Miho as the Bass player. In March of 2023, a 2-day show called Knocken at Heavens Gate (Blue Ray Title), featured the return of the band and introduce Fami. releases from this weekend are: Hammer of Wrath Nameless Warrior Judgement Day Liar Stand and Deliver Swan Song M.D.O. You’ve guessed many things correctly. At every live performance, Asami introduces the band by saying “We are LOVEBITES, and we play…Heavy Metaaaaaal”. She ends the show with it too. I discovered them 3 years ago and have a 70’s 80’s “rock” background. I grew up listening to Deep Purple, Rainbow, Rush, early AC/DC, Dio and Queensryche. In all of the bands I listened to (that was just a snapshot), to stand at the front you had to be able to sing, not growl. Many people who have been reacting to the band for years still introduce them as a “power metal” band, meaning that the band obviously has no idea what music they play! I jest. They do literally play “heavy metal”, not restricted to this particular sound but with a wide variety and a handful of metal ballads but their trademarks are speed, double bass drumming with sublime cymbal accents, twin guitar attack and the majority of songs having a traded guitar solo. All accompanied by a 147cm vocalist who it is believed has innards that consist entirely of lungs! Every member of the band is a virtuoso musician and while some regularly do so, most are able to play more than one instrument. The “wooden” (Dean) guitarist, Miyako, was trained to almost concert standard as a pianist, but switched to electric guitar aged 18 (largely self taught) because she realised the other students in musical college were, to quote her own words, “much better than me”. Having watched her recent debut piano recital in Tokyo, where she covered metal and classical pieces, I have to say that if there are better pianists than her, then that was one hell of a college. Welcome to the only band in recorded music history that even the unbiased observer would concede have not a single album filler in 60 tracks and counting. Please feel free to find one.

They wear white dresses are for both aesthetic as well as practical reasons. Since they are all about 5 feet tall or less, dark outfits would mean they would get lost on stage. White is just more visible. It also has a cool effect when the lights change.

Welcome to LOVEBITES 🤘🏼🐺🔥 Here some information about the band: LOVEBITES are around since 2016 and their first EP and album came out in 2017. At this point they have already released 4 albums, some Singles/EPs and also a bunch of live DVD/Blu-ray releases. Back in 2018/2019 LOVEBITES have already toured in Europe, including appearances at the major metal festivals as Wacken, Download, Bloodstock, Graspop. In 2018 they also won the Metal Hammer UK Golden Gods Award for best new band. Then came covid, their original bass player and founder Miho quit the band for personal reasons and two babies were born. After a break LOVEBITES came back with new bassist Fami and new song „Judgement Day“ in late 2022. A new album with the same title came out in February 2023. It debuted on #4 at iTunes album charts worldwide and #1 at metal charts in 8 countries. Recently their album „Judgement Day“ was voted #15 in best metal albums of the year 2023 by readers of Metal Hammer UK. Also „Stand and deliver“ was voted on #15 for best metal song of the year. What are fantastic results for a still relatively unknown and foreign band. LOVEBITES finished touring Japan last October. They will be on a WORLD TOUR this year. About the dresses, when they tour Europe as the opening band for Dragonforce, a French metal magazine interviewed Asami (singer) and asked her about that. Her response, "We're girls, we don't want to dress like boys. Also we are all small and the white and gold makes it easier to see us on stage." And they ARE small, Haruna (drums) is 4' 9" the tallest is Miyako (dark haired guitarist) at only 5' 2".

they are all very petite the white out fits help them stand out on the stage and stand out from other metal groups since there music is mostly positive as opposed to the darker themes found in most metal music also they consider themselves a "Heavy Metal" group not speed ,thrash or power they incorporate many of the Metal genre's into their songs .

Advice: when you're reacting to a band for the first time, especially a Japanese band (because that scene is so unique), don't do "just a tiny bit of research" ahead of time. Do ZERO research ahead of time! Your audience is yearning for truly blind reactions, not partially blind or half-blind reactions. Your audience would have been thrilled for you to have gone into this not knowing they were Japanese, not knowing they were female, not knowing they were metal. Every element of surprise that you take away before the reaction is just another disappointment to your audience. Obviously, that doesn't apply when you're doing a reaction to a band you have already heard before, but for a first-time reaction, make it truly BLIND!

You are totally wrong dragon force wishes they were this good, I don't get it why everyone compares them to DF here is a huge difference between them both DF is repetitive all of their solos sound exactly the same and it gets boring quick so they suck. Lovebites is more of a constructive band with many changes in all of their songs and in one song never boring.
