When America(media, music companies)basically flushed metal in the nineties for grunge, and then went to rap where we've been since, Japan was still having the same metal groups that were relegated to small venues or practically forgotten everywhere else still pulling and being promoted in Japan and the far east. So they have been listening and practicing while much of the west has been "rapping"....thank God for Japan.

Miyako was probably heading for a career as a professional classical pianist until she picked up a guitar at the age of either 18 or 19 and taught herself to play. Since she has played clasical piano for twenty-nine of her thirty-tw0 years, the piano is really her primary instrument. Midori also studied piano and keyboards from the age of two until she went to university. Midori started to learn to play the guitar even later than Miyako. She dropped out of one of Japan's premier pharmacy colleges at the age of twenty and attended the prestigious Musicians Institute Japan in Osaka. From around 2014 both Miyako and Midori played in metalcore bands before joining Lovebites. Japan has more kick-ass and bad-ass female hard rock and metal musicians than any other country in the world. The future of all genres of rock are save in the hands of the Japanese. There is a database online that lists around 600 all female bands in Japan, and they start early, for example Miho the bassist was in a Pantera cover band while in high school. The West could learn a lot from Japan about the teaching of music in school.

Swan Song is indeed a Glorious Musical feat !! Lyrics by Asami, Music & Arrangement by Miyako. The Lady's took the last nine months off, Miho bassist & cofounder of the band, announced last August that she was leaving to pursue other opportunities. Miyako got married & had a baby also in August, Asami got married in October, so the Lady's have been living ! For the last two months they have been auditioning for a new bassist & writing new music.....stay tuned !! Let me recommend, " A Frozen Serenade, " live. ❤🎙🎸🎹🥁😎👌

Safety warning: someone has to put a safety belt on Haruna's seat, she is tiny (only 4" 9") and at that speed "the little big engine" is quite capable of taking off. btw Miyako also plays bass and drums, she manages to compose the songs and Midori and Asami also had piano training, but Miyako is another level, she started playing piano at 3 and learned to play guitar by herself at only 18. love this band , greetings from Portugal 🐺🤘 🐺🤘🐺

Time to learn their names: Haruna - drums (2016-present) Midori - guitars, backing vocals (2016-present) (blonde ponytail) Miyako - guitars, keyboards, backing vocals, main composer (2016-present) (dark hair) Asami - lead vocals, writes a lot of the lyrics (2016-present) Miho - bass, backing vocals, founder and bandleader (2016-2021) wrote some of their thrashier songs, eg. Thunder Vengeance

Thank you for finally getting to "Swan Song". Chopin (pronounced Show-pan) was a Polish-born Romantic-era (1800’s) classical composer and piano virtuoso who lived most of his life in France. He is considered one of the greatest classical composers of all time. Miyako, who composes a lot of Lovebites’ music, is a professional-level concert pianist, and was originally going to make classical music her career. When she was 18, she picked up a guitar, and is now (quite obviously) an elite-level guitarist. She particularly likes the Romantic Era classical composers like Debussy, Dvořák, Chopin and Rachmaninoff. She composed “Swan Song” using elements of the New World Symphony (Dvořák) and Chopin’s Revolutionary Etude (official name Étude Opus 10, No. 12 in C minor).

Oh yea....forgot to mention. Miyako is a classically trained concert pianist. She also writes a ton of Lovebites songs. Regarding song recommendations I would love to see you react to "Journey to the otherside". The song was written by Miho (the bassist) for her father who passed away. It's one of the least reacted to Lovebites songs but it's one of my favorites.

This was the song that quickly made me realize they are just way better and more talented than any metal out there today. No one comes close to their talent in the heavy metal genre, no one. There are many bands that can play heavy / fast but it doesn't necessarily sound good and can they include a grand piano in it, no. Not saying HV requires piano but to be able to do it, damn. This song is fast as shit and they make it sound so melodic you'd think it was a ballad, they are that DAMN great! And they are just flawless live, what else can you say at this point. Agree with others who recommended A Frozen Serenade live, you have to see that one and then Edge of the World live. There is great heavy metal music and then there is LOVEBITES. 🐺🤘 LOVEBITES doesn't even have a YT video for this and the one video featuring Swan Song and Chopin Etude has only 42k views, are you F kidding me??!! I spread the word of LOVEBITES as much as I can. The metal world has no idea what they are missing, none. PS. I sub'd and hope you make 100K!!

Miyako is truly a musical savant. She is classically trained in piano from age 3. She nearly chose to become a classic pianist before choosing metal instead. She only started playing guitar from age 18! (Midori started at age 20!) For your next Lovebites reaction, I suggest Edge Of The World. It may be a good idea to leave subtitles on because the lyrics are so good.. 😉🎶

In 1831, the "November Revolution", a rebel force caused by some officers and the general public against the Polish government under the control of imperial Russia, failed due to the direct intervention of imperial Russia. Polish Chopin will be informed of this news on his journey. He lost his homeland. "Etude OP10, No12" was announced by his agent in Paris, where Chopin was staying when the Russian army invaded Warsaw. His agent introduced the song so exaggeratedly that it eventually became known as the "revolutionary etude". Miyako composed "Swan Song" based on this "Revolutionary Etude" and Dvorak's "New World". Former ballerina Asami wrote the lyrics based on the historical background of "Revolutionary Etude", incorporating elements of Norse mythology and "Swan Lake". "Swan Song" is a requiem dedicated to the warriors who fought to regain the country.

Miyako is so gifted. A lot of Japanese people learn piano from an early age but the main difference between those children and elsewhere in the world seems to be that they stick at it and keep learning and become very good indeed. But are we surprised any more by how musically talented so many Japanese women are? No, because we've seen Lovebites, Band-Maid, BabyMetal, Nemophila and Asterism (ooh, there's one you haven't seen yet - try the live in the studio sessions...like 'Church' kzbin.info/www/bejne/ppzMfIZ4jZ19hqM or their live stuff). As far as i can remember there have always been really good asian female musicians, but they were mostly playing violin or piano and classicial music. But maybe in the last years it has become more accepted that metal is the new classic. I also remember that when i was in school, in the 70s in germany, it hass often been said that if Beethoven would live today, he for sure would make metal.

By the way, Miyako (black-haired guitarist) can play on the piano (or other keyboard instrument) and on the guitar at the same time - one hand on the guitar and one hand on the keyboard. For the short time, but her brain can handle that! There are some performances where you can see it. Also you can check out their metal ballad "The edge of the world". I think you will be impressed. This song is absolutely incredible. That look on your face of utter disbelief at the end is exactly the way I know I looked the first time I saw this performance. Miyako has an unfair level of talent, particularly from someone that looks like that, talk about winning the genetic lottery. :) Imagine being as good of a guitarist as Midori is (and she is s-tier) and only being the second-best guitarist in your band. We are all lucky to live in the time of Miyako.
@ralphboyer2538
@ralphboyer2538 2 жыл бұрын
Let me start by saying Miyako is my favorite musician in the world. I don't know when I've seen a musician as elite and well-rounded as she is. However, I don't think it's fair to say that Midori is the second best guitarist in the band. Comparing Miyako and Midori is like comparing apples and oranges - just can't be done. The difference between their styles is like night and day. Midori is probably more technically skilled than Miyako, but Miyako plays with much more emotion and is constantly experimenting to get the exact sound she wants. They have both said in interviews that their styles are completely different. The good thing for us is that their styles blend together seemlessly. I don't think it's fair to say that one is better than the other, but it's certainly fair to say that together they are the best guitar duo in the business right now. Just my opinion.

Great performance and arrangement! You've reacted to a lot of amazing artists so far. May I suggest someone new for your channel: Loïc Nottet - a singer, dancer and choreographer from Belgium. His music video "Million Eyes" would be a good start (it's a Vevo licensed video so you would probably need a filter on the video to avoid blocking). An alternative (but without dancing) is his Chandelier cover for MNM Marathonradio.

This band is phenomenal and won the 2018 Metal Hammer Golden Gods award for best new band - they can play so many different styles of heavy metal - from heavy thrash metal like Slayer to emotional soft ballads and everything in between. I hope you check out more of their songs and subscribe to their channel.

I've heard that in the world of rock / metal music, the opposite is happening in Japan and the United States (& Europe). What is the cause of the difference? .. I've been thinking about it for the past year or so. My (biased?) Conclusion is that "some stereotypes in rock / metal" may be the cause. (Although some rock fans sometimes have an unpleasant reaction to this theory ...) I think the United States and Europe have a strong foundation for rock music. However, I am afraid that this may have caused the stereotypes to be over-formed. However, in Japan, the influence of stereotypes on rock music is weak in both good and bad ways. Many Japanese music fans simply think that "rock is music that you can enjoy freely." Therefore, even if young people express rock with unique sounds and performances, there is a bass that accepts it as normal rather than heretical. In a world where strong stereotypes are firmly established, even if an artist with a talent for breaking the shell tries to debut, it seems difficult to form a fan base that can understand him. I consider the examples of BABY-METAL and Lady Gaga as symbolic things. The story will be too long, so I will only talk about the latter. Lady Gaga seems to have started music activities mainly on the Internet from rural areas in the United States when she was young. However, it seems that her unique music and performances were not easily understood by Americans. However, one Japanese who was watching her net is interested in her. Since he worked in the Japanese mass media, he will introduce Lady Gaga in the Japanese media. The reaction of the Japanese appeared immediately. Her presence was highly evaluated and accepted throughout Japan. (The United States, surprised by her popularity in Japan, introduced Lady Gaga in the form of a reimport, and she got a star status.) In other words, in Japan, few people think of stereotypes such as "rock / metal is a song like *****" and "rock / metal is preferably a ****** style". As a result, young people are blessed with a social environment where they can challenge the world of rock with a unique musical style. (Of course, there are many bands that disappear without becoming a major player) Also, compared to other countries, Japan is more interested in music education from an early age, and there is an environment where music lessons are emphasized even at school. This may also be the reason why young music artists are easy to grow up. ----------------------------------------- From Japan * This is a sentence using Google Translate. I hope that the intention is conveyed correctly.

Speaking of whipping out another instrument, check out Spellbound ... it is rather different than their usual style. There is also Keytar. Must check. Another larger than life epic song would be Epilogue. Makes you cry. Possible Emotional Damage. I'm not sure if I'd say Japan is "up-and-coming" rock and metal bands as they had awesome bands since the 80's like Show Ya, X Japan, Loudness, Maximum the Hormone or in 2000's Galnerys, One OK Rock, Scandal, Aldious, Mary's Blood, Destrose, Dir En Gray, Versailles, and 2010's BabyMetal, Band-Maid, Lovebites and many, many more. The M&M (Miyako & Midori) are in my opinion best dual guitarists not just this century but among all dual guitarists. I have not seen any that are so in-sync, flawless and talented master musicians in any band. Not to mention their live performances outmatches their studio versions.

I don't know what they are feeding the women in Japan but for me the world of heavy rock and metal has certainly been turned upside down and totally refreshed by these wonderful bands. By the way if you would like to see another awesome female shredder seek out Tina S. performing The Moonlight Sonata proving unequivocally that Beethoven was a metalhead.

You gotta do the "E" songs of Lovebites all fall in the same catagory as the Swan Song masterfully composed and constructed. Although, they have most if not all of their songs infused with the classical element of many classical compositions. This happens as they are all trained as a classical pianist.
