A place with no name was inspired by 70s harmony group America and their song A Horse With No Name, classic tune

Yup, same here! Not the biggest fan of these remixes, especially Slave to the Rhythm... It's just so annoyingly noisy 😬

The both versions of song Xscape were produced by the same person - Rodney Jerkins

Xscape is like a Timbaland produced Michael album, some of these were meant for Invincible

Please react to the gold version of Xscape with the original songs on them. This is the silver version which is all modern (modern in a 2014 sense) remixes

I love this album. I don't agree with you on the negatives. However, I love the originals too. But from your critiques, you realy should listen and react to ALL of the originals. This was a 2 disc album. 1st disc is all the remixed songs and 2nd disc is all the originals. And there are different producers, with the exception of Darkchild. Slave to the Rhythm, for example was written and produced by LA & Babyface. From what you said you think the tracks should be, the original tracks are that exactly. And as for A Place With No Name, your original instinct was correct, the producer of the remixed version basically stole/copied the instrumentation from Michael's Leave Me Alone. Xscape was one of the last songs Michael was actively working on. The original MJ started with Rodney Jerkins during the Invincible sessions, but revisited it and continued to work on it closer to his passing. Darkchild continued to put the finishishing touches aftwr Michael's passing, always focussing on everything Michael told him, and imagingiing what Michaek would say and would like and what MJ pished him to do. As for Blue Gansta I LOVE both versions, and for me an idela version woukd be a mix of the 2. I love the remixed version but theres some muaically sparse moments in the original that are fire and the biggest thing about the original which is fantastic and I miss from the remix is there are much more horna and they sound incredible.

Loving U is a top 5 MJ song for me 😂 but I love MJ on heavy drums. To be fair on Slave to the Rhythm, the original imo was worse so i think they did the best they or anyone couldve did with it lol. Didnt like DYKWYCA remake n made my own

My opinion about the original version VS the remix version: • Love Never Felt So Good - Remix ver. it's better (the original it's good, but too demo for me) • Chicago - Looove the remix version, really superior • Loving You - The original version it's more cleaner in the instrumentals and fits better the song ♡ • A Place With No Name - Honestly both versions it's so good, I like them both • Slave To The Rhythm - I don't like either, it's the weakest track for me (but he kills the vocals), the remix version it's extra annoying tho • DYKWYCA - the original version it's better. The remix version it's so random with the instrumental¿ • Blue Gangsta - the remix ver. sounds more complete, but I REALLY wish they had kept the trumpet (?) sound, I love the dramatic sounding in the original version, it's like a spy movie. I would've love a mashup with the versions. They complete each other. • Xscape - I honestly don't like this song too, so I just skip. Both versions are weak for me.
