I have been watching Morissette for over 4 years now and this song was the first one I watched at least 20 times a day for three weeks, the Philippines is the land of great singers but my favourite is Mori, so try Morissette Amon at Robertson Place Gallery singing HALO and ALL I WANT FOR XMAS then go to Thunderbird Rizal singing I WILL NEVER LOVE AGAIN, 2 of my favourites are COULD YOU BE MESSIAH and POWER first take after being ill for some time you see her husband Dave on the monitor checking and he cannot believe how great she is, then comes GUSTO KO NANG BUMITAW live band with 3 rd Avenue absolutely fantastic in ONE TAKE, after that go to Stages sessions Quaranthemes for DEFYING GRAVITY, HOME, SHE USED TO BE MINE, and MEMORYS, all sung live in lockdown 2020, again fantastic watch the full videos she talks a little bit about herself, ENJOY your Journey with the Morissette Airline fasten your seat belt and fly to heaven and back.

Same here! Great reaction, Alison! Like others are saying, wow, with Morissette, you've got lots and LOTS of great songs you can listen to from her! Honestly, I'd never heard of her before this year, and now she's one of my top 5 favorite singers. In addition to the songs of hers you've already listened to, I recommend (in no particular order), "Secret Love Song (Little Mix)", "Love You Still (Sunset Version)", and "Bruno Mars Evolution Medley", but there are so many more.

Yea her voice has a more heavy tone which makes it more full and rich so it gives a harder punch compared to Idina Menzel for example which is more airy and on the thinner side. Both of them can hit high notes but Morissettes heavyness just makes me feel more and not just go wow that was high.

For a nonprofessional, you did a fairly good job of catching the essence of what Mowie did well. Mainly, it's the vocal breaks(cries, squeaks, growls, and whistles) that make you feel the intensity of a piece. These are what she excels at. Is it an accident that you began with the best female vocalist on the planet? imho, of course. Wait 'til you hear her whistle register. Also, try something she sings in Tagalog to get the full Morissette experience. I suggest starting with "Akin Ka Na Lang".

Filipinos are natural born singers, she is not a trained singer, it is in our culture. But she is one of the cream of the crop. Almost everybody in the Philippines can sing well. Ever since the Karaoke was not yet invented yet. And almost all the house here has its own videoke a karaoke with TV monitor for the lyrics.

Great start to reacting. Morisette is just a wonderful, classy and powerful singer. Even though not in English, Personally I also think Akin Ka Na Lang is her best performance, also done on the Wish Bus. I think you did well. Your reaction came across as very thoughtful and honest. If I had a suggestion, it would be to be very sparing on the pre research. Hi Alison, happened upon your channel by accident. Saw you decided to try Mori for the first time and so I'm sold. I love pretty much everything Mori does. If you want more bands you've probably never heard of then I'd highly recommend Babymetal. I'd recommend their song Headbanger Legend 1997 (that isn't the year it was recorded, but rather the year the main vocalist was born and it was a concert celebrating her birthday as her birthday had just happened a couple days prior). After that, you'll probably get a TON of people joining your growing youtube family and many will suggest other Japanese bands (oh yeah, Babymetal is a Japanese band) such as lovebites, Wagaki Band, Bandmaid, and others, so you'll easily have a nice list to venture through. All those bands are quite good. This is coming from a Canadian who doesn't even speak Japanese, but loves the music. Anyhow, hope you enjoy your journey and looking forward to seeing your reaction one day (hopefully soon! lol) to Babymetal as well. Also looking forward to your reaction to more Morissette Amon too!
