The original sample used in Mos Def's Auditorium was sourced from the song “Do jhooth ji ek sach ke liye” by legendary Lata Mangeshkar who passed away this year. Music by Shankar-Jaikishan, legendary duo. Movie - Do Jhooth (1975 Hindi film). Give props to the real gems for this legendary music 🙌

Omg I still love this album. And Mos Def. Hes a genuius. The self described black Dante, the Brooklyn Boogeyman. One of the greatest to ever do it, Mos is CRIMINALLY underrated when he's not only a great rapper, he has a gorgeous singing voice. Check out the songs Sunshine, The Panties, and Modern Marvel (an over 9 minute sheer MASTERPIECE-my favorite song he's ever done-pure poetry that just builds and builds, incredible track) from his album The New Danger (one of the best hip hop albums of all time and one of my personal favorites) and anything from Black Star, which was Talib Kweli and Mos Def's joint group.
