This DJ Honda album was my fav. when it dropped. I can remember my boy wearing the ish outta this tape when we used to ride around. There's a sick Beatnuts song that was off of this album too. I was a big fan of the Japanese DJ's who made beats and put out dope songs like this w/ American artists. Mos was just breaking out around this time, and he was one of many MC's who people couldn't wait to hear when he dropped music.

It's dope to see you get to experience art like that. Mos been an elite level MC for a long time. I heard him first on an old Rawkus Records compilation and been down ever since. I still got cuts from Black On Both Sides in the rotation. Speed Law and Mathematics is still playing every few days. Plus any of the Black Star work that he did with Talib Kweli is FLAMES. He was even on a Freddie Gibbs joint with Black Thought just a couple years ago, called Education. That piece is crazy.

At one point in the verse Mos starts rapping in Japanese because of the beat made by DJ Honda. On the first Tony Touch (Puerto Rican) album he returns the favor again by rapping half of his verse in spanish: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hH7TlmeObs5gf8k Mos is one of the greatest to ever flow, what an artist.

.wow nostalgia.!!!! A white boy from like early 2000s introduced me to a lot of the music I still listen too to this day. Stuff i might not have ever listened to otherwise, had it not been for them burnt CDs he use to make me, even my mom liked them haha .... What's crazy is, I remember this kid from when i was barely a teenager, early 2000's, he was the only yt boy in our entire highschool of over 2,800 students in CINCINNATI OHIO... He he had the best taste in music, this boy could sing dam near every lyric to so many songs, like two of Nas 's entire albums, biggie album's, the HI TEK album, big pun album, The Nore N.O.R.E. album, and idk, many more.. i waa surprised he even understood the words, cuz a lot of them even i couldnt.... oh, the wu tang also, and that RED MAN album, it was a black CD with red man written in red. (Loved that CD) AND he had access to the best bud,/ flower!!! I mean THEE BEST WEED my mom and I ever ever seen to this day!!! .. Some of us who stuck together until adults , almost all of us or our group agree that it's the best Weed we ever seen, to this DAY!! and it's 2024, been at LEAST 15 years. I remember his auntie use to grow it, he had a black uncle too . , lol, like how tf have none of us seen weed that good in almost 20 years, even from the dispensaries. Haa. Dude was cold, !!! poor kid use to get soooo much SHYT, mf had hands too, but everytime he got into a Fight, which he never started, he would ALWAYS get beat up, because mfs would jump in, even kids that didn't know either party, like they just seen a opportunity to kick a yt mf while they down already, and they'd take it everytime.... What's crazy is, he really had them hands. I remember him from years before that, when we were young young young , he was the only yt boy in/ at our YMCA, in the "west end" Neighborhood of Cincinnati Ohio.... Anyway, nostalgia brought me to thinking about him / making this comment or listening to such peaceful music... Mf introduced me to this as well, MOS def in general actually, and hella other good music. Like Kanye before he was famous, even talib kwali, and a Cincinnati hip hop group "MOOD", and a dude from Cincinnati called "Hi TEK" .. this was before everyone had phones with internet etc, early early 2000's.
