Great reaction... Thanks for the shoutout :) I'm very very happy that you really liked this one... This is my favorite song ever, not just from Muse, from any other song I've ever listened to... I LOVE this so much... Everything is PERFECTION on this one, starting with the song titles!! The music, the changes in rhythm, the somber nature of the riffs, the creepiness, everything is just awesome... And the lyrics, man those lyrics!!! This song shows the contradictory feelings of a man. He is overwhelmed by desire on seeing this young girl, the first lines showing how she lights him up and takes "only seconds to draw me in". However, as seeing her as a symbol of purity, youth, innocence and chastity, he knows that in fulfilling his desires he will take this quality away from her: "And your innocence I will consume" This knowledge of what he could destroy haunts him, the chorus expressing his pain. His contradictory feelings are also clear from the second verse, urging her to avoid him, "Hide from the scary scenes", yet wanting her to "suppress her fears" and fulfill his desire. The title captures the contradictory feelings, "Darkshines", and even the piano part shows the conflict within the man described through the dissonance leading to the chorus. 'dark shines bringing me down making my heart feel sore because it's good' This is, again, perfection... His heart is hurting because all the love he has for her is good but at the same time he knows that if she loves him back he will destroy/consume everything he loves in her. He's drawn to her because of how pure she is, but at the same time he's having an internal dilemma about ruining her pureness, almost like he'd be desecrating something holy by getting too close to her. He feels she should never be touched by the likes of him, yet all he can think about is touching her. Thank you for this video

First of all, thanks for reacting to Fury, I enjoyed it quite a lot. This is my second favourite MUSE song (not many bands do Tango rhythms...) and your reaction to the snares in it leads me to believe you might enjoy "Mew - Am I Wry? No". It's Scandinavian progrock.

Unpopular opinion: this song is better in the studio version This is great but my god does he scream in the studio, it's so raw and emotional and almost sounds like he's crying you really feel it

I was thinking that you should review Tom Sawyer by Rush (if you haven't done so already) based on your review of Placebo's songs....HIGHLY reccomend because I KNOW you will LOVE IT!!! :)

Now for a couple more recommendations: Hyper Music and Hyper-Chondirac Music... It would be just amazing to see you react to both songs in the same video, I say this because these 2 songs showcase once again the musical genius that Matt and the band are... with the same lyrics they make two polar opposite feeling songs, one filled with Rage, Power, Defiance... the other filled with sadness, darkness, depression... Simply amazing! And finally, since you are a drum guy, if you never seen this, it's a MUST, you have to react to: Godsmack - Drum Duel (or Drum Battle) kzbin.info/www/bejne/aYGxc5-cj8eAjZo&ab_channel=WalterWhite - This version has way better sound and video quality but it has a start with a interview with Sully and Shannon about this thing they did at concerts, I think it's pretty cool to listen to it too but you can skip it This is amazing, specially knowing that the guy on the left of the screen (Sully) is the vocalist of the band, he also plays guitar (and I have no reason to believe that he doesn't play bass also)... how talented can a guy be to go toe to toe with the drummer of his band...

Siempre he creído que la música de disfruta desde lo armónica pero también desde lo rítmico y últimamente inclusive me ha parecido más trascendente lo segundo. Así que si tocas la batería sería genial poderte escuchar un Cover de esta canción. Te recomiendo muchísimo Hoodoo y Map of the problematique. Y si quieres algo que acaricie el alma escucha Afrermath. Muchas gracias por tu contenido. Realmente la paso increíble verte reaccionar y redescubirir mi banda favorita de toda la vida a mis 77 años.
