I have been a fan of Babymetal for about six years now. I thought that there would never be another Japanese band that could make a reputation on a global scale. But maybe I was wrong. BAND-MAID, LOVEBITES, Unlucky Morpheus, and now NEMOPHILA! They are the heroes who take hard rock and heavy metal to a new level.

Japanese music media is calling them a Super Group as all of them are from well known bands. Saki (guitar) is the leader (it seems) is from Mary's Blood! Me I'm in love with the drummer!!

Well, THAT took awhile. We've been waiting for you to get to them because, well, we knew. So... Nemophila were founded in 2019. There are a supergroup composed of: Mary's Blood guitarist Saki ex-Lipstick vocalist Mayu ex-Disqualia guitarist Hazuki (also plays with Lisa-X) ex-Hölderlins bassist Haraguchi-san, and ex-Soramimi drummer Muratatam (also does other projects) Other than Saki, none of them had previously been with a breakout band, despite having amazing chops. Getting these five together did the trick-they are just exploding. Initially, they were just a side project, co-organized by Saki and Mayu. They started off posting metal covers of well-known rock, pop and metal songs. These guys are really great. They put out a huge amount of top notch, high skill, creative content in the last year and they're always having such a good time in every video. They are good! These girls are really good! I only became aware of them a few months ago through comments, but I am very impressed by these ladies. There is no doubt that there is a lot of talent in this group and their singer Mayu definitely has an 'special' voice. Some have already warned you about their track 'Dissension', and I have to agree with that warning. I can imagine that you'll be looking for the way through your door, just not being fast enough or just forgetting to open it before going through. 🤭🤘🏻

It is impossible not to love this band. They are so incredibly talented. I am a huge Babymetal fan myself and I feel no shame when I am head-banging to NEMOPHILA. Yeah Dissension is definitely worth reacting to. Or Oiran, or Monster or any of there covers.

He's not ready for 'Dissension' LOL This is a side project of the lead guitarist Saki from Mary's Blood and four others from different bands. LIPSTICK vocalists mayu, guitarist Hazuki from Disqualia, bassist Haraguchi-san from HöLDERLINS, and drummer Muratatamu from SORAMIMI. Great reaction,heh. Love Nemophila. Raitei is thunder, what a thunderous finish. Mayu is a great vocalist, she does screams as well. Marata Tamu, along with Akane are favorite drummers. Saki and Hazuki great guitarists. Haraguchi san a great bassist. They cover songs as well. They started in late 2019 together, so, they are doing all this on their own with YT, till we are more out of lockdowns, etc. Try their songs : Oiran, Fighter, Sorai, Life, Disenssion.

Can honestly say this is the first band in decades since ZZ Top came out where I like every member equally well. Saki on the right can pass as a supermodel but shreds a guitar better than anybody. Hazuki very good on vocals also, on the left. Can pass as a librarian or school teacher when she has those glasses on. They basically have two female Eddie Van Halen's. And be honest I think are better. And for Mayu her vocals are insanely good. I've never seen a vocalist transition from one type of vocals to another as easily as she does. And when she's off stage her voice is so quiet it don't even sound like the same lady on stage. And Hariguchi-San on bass. How she's always smiling and laughing with the drummer just killing it on bass every time. Then Tamu. A quiet soft spoken married mom. Is a beast on those drums. Who also plays Fusion jazz on drums piano and saxophone. Combined they make a supergroup as far as I'm concerned. Definitely better than anything that's come out and states in 20 years.

Also, if you want to check a Japanese female bands, you could try Doll$Boxx (side project for great musicians) and song "Shout Down" (but also others as well) or Bridear...let's say old song "Light in the Dark"!
