Crazy part is Jay rhymes a lot more than people catch on to but it goes over their heads since he doesn’t put heavy emphasis on all the rhyming syllables so it sounds more natural.

Jay wasn’t supposed to be on this but he walked in the studio, heard the beat, and asked Nas to jump on it. So there’s probably some unrecorded verses from Nas that never made the track. Spike Lee wanted to do a big budget video for it BUT Nas being the low key brotha that he is…said nah.
