Hi Brewtiful.. At last!! I so knew you would love Nemophila.. They are a very, very cool band, extremely talented and play everything.. Raitei is a great place to start, but prepare to be Rocked, you have so much more to see. Revive MV and Rise MV next, will complete the big 3 "R's" If you dare.. So, you have done Band-maid, and now Nemophila, You may now be ready for Lovebites? 5 more beautiful, classy, talented women from Japan that will blow you away.. Holy war live, Thunder vengeance live, Break the wall live or Jugement day Live or MV are great songs to start with, but frankly any song by all three of these bands are fantastic. For me, they are the top 3 all female Rock and metal bands out of Japan at the moment, but are by no means the only ones. Enjoy the ride, It's about to get real.. Best wishes from France

Nemophila is greatness. They just got the invite to play at Budokan in February and are rightfully all jazzed about that. If you'd like to continue on down the Nemophila trail, "Adabana" is awesome and "Hypnosis" has a different feel but still is incredibly heavy. Another band I'd like to put on your radar is Unlucky Morpheus. They're a Japanese six piece metal group with strong classical elements and my favorite of the Japanese metal vocalists. I recommend either the official video for "Unending Sorceress" or the official live video for "Black Pentagram."

One of best thing about Nemophila is there diversity.. They can fuse dance with metal, rap with metal, middle eastern with metal, as well as rock, grunge and all genres metal thanks to badass band & insanely versatile singer who can sing pop to extreme metal with ease. They are an awesome band; I've seen them live and the energy was off the charts. Loudest concert I've ever been to! About the flower and how appropriate it is: Nemophila is the name of a genus which is filled with species of flowers whose common names are typically some version of "Baby Blue Eyes." It is native to North America - like rock - but popular in Japan - like rock. In fact every spring the hills of Hitachi Seaside Park in Japan turn blue with these flowers. While hundreds of shockingly good rock and metal bands play wherever they can.

Nemophila are world class and are amazing live and do ridiculously good covers for their fans as well. The talent in this band is off the planet. Raitei was my first time hearing them a few years back and it sold me. Generally people go and listen to Dissension or OIRAN next. They have released a some great live footage lately worth checking out. They also did a free livestream last week which you cpuld check out with 5 songs on it.

Welcome to the kick ass world of Nemophila. They are a kick ass band. been around a little over 4 years with 2 albums. If you like hard metal this is just the tip of the iceberg with them. They get much more heavier and the lead singer Mayu even growls and screams along with mixing in her clean vocals. The two guitarist Saki and Hazuki are shredders and in many of their songs have dueling solos and harmonizing too. They are mostly metal and hard rock. A great metal and rock band. They are very diverse too.They have great songs also done some great covers over the years too especially during covid. So many great suggestions for all their songs are so good. Try Adabana next. Also Oiran Live version. There is also Dissension. Revive another kick ass one the live version or music video. There are even more but that is a good start.

This song is so easy to love. So is this band. I'm really glad you liked what you heard here. Their home is kind of metal/metalcore but they try all kinds of styles and fusions of stuff. They have harder and heavier songs than this but this one strikes such a great balance of upbeat and hard af. I recommend 'Adabana', 'Revive' and the recent live video of 'Oiran' as perfect follow-ups to this one but everything they do is great. They also do some great melodic ballads that manage to be genuinely emotional without being nauseatingly sentimental. No matter how brutal and hard they play, they never forget to have fun. Tamu on drums and Hara-chan on bass, especially, just smile constantly.

For me Nemophila is the most rising band in the metalcore scene...check the MV REVIVE, or ADABANA, HYPNOSIS, or live songs like OIRAN, SEIZE THE FATE, CHANGE THE WORLD, NOW I'M HERE..and they have so many covers from Iron Maiden, foo fighters, etc...Friday is Nemo friday...always put something out...amazing band...

Get ready for another interesting journey! The title translates to 'thunder' and these ladies usually deliver just that! But believe me, they are damn versatile and can also be softer, just as you say, still with an impact. Just on a completely different level. 🔥🤘🏻 Well, now we have Band-Maid, Nemophila and you say you have a thing for skillful playing of instruments/solo sections. Somehow, the name 'Gacharic Spin' automatically comes to my mind. Maybe the most versatile band Japan has to offer, or rebels that you just can't pigeonhole. 🤭 I just recommend their MV to 'Mindset' if you are interested. Don't even try the subtitles, though. Nemophila are top tier and def one of my favorites from Japan. "Raitei" is great, but be warned they do go harder than this. I think "Adabana" and "Rise" are two of their best songs as well as "Enten."

Always happy to see more people join the Nemophila train! The metal that the ladies in Japan are making is second to none right now and Nemophila are absolutely among the best of the best. I'm sure you'll get plenty of suggestions, so mine would be for 'Adabana', 'Rise' or 'Oiran'. I'm also gonna throw out another name for when you have time, Hanabie. They've been tearing it up on a world tour for the past couple of months and it's been amazing to see them go from around 2k subscribers to well over 100k in the space of around 18 months. And you will probably dig Lovebites' impressive dual guitarists, Midori and Miyako. Midori is technical flash power, Miyako is soul passion power, and when they do guitar duets it can be sublime. When former bassist (and cofounder) Miho stepped down, they searched and sifted and auditioned for months to get the right fit, and Fami is pretty great, musically and personally. Drummer Haruna was the other cofounder. She is tiny, but a pocket nuke of a drummer. They do quite a lot of what I consider speed metal, and she is still full speed full power all through a two hour concert. She is a friend of Band-Maid drummer Akane BTW. Singer Asami came from R&B but assimilated metal quite well. Sounds operatic at times. Can carry extended clear highs impressively. All these groups being named in comments are very different. But all are excellent at what they do.

They began as a project band in 2019 to showcase Mayu, whose band Lipstick was breaking up. They did some covers, had fun, dropped them on YT and the reaction was tremendous. I think those are generally better than the original versions. Then they started creating originals and that was dynamite. You can't really go wrong picking one. They're like Band-Maid in that respect. But if I remember right, Dissension was their first heavy original. And it showed Mayu's versatility on a then-new level, as she can do screams and rough vocals and switch in a millisecond to clear soaring vocals in the same song. It's like her specialty now. Since Nemophila has taken off, the members' time in it has taken precedence, and Saki's former group Mary's Blood has folded. Don't know if her time with Nemophila was why, but the timing... Guitarist Saki (on our right, with decorated amp) is the eldest and most experienced, but all have proven themselves in other bands before. I read that she was uncertain about doing this until she learned that Tamu Murata would be the drummer and then she was IN. Saki is a star player herself; Tamu is that revered. Her name is a nickname - Tah-MOO - based on her strong use of the toms whenever that can be justified. Her given name is Ai, pronounced like Eye (the lead singer of Mary's Blood spelled her same name as "Eye"). Hazuki is the other guitarist. Both play in other part time projects, and both play 7 string guitars of different brands, Killer for Saki and Alvarez for Hazuki generally. Haraguchi is a young but excellent bass player, and it is a five string Sadowsky. The range of their music demands more range of their instruments than standard. I love their sound, the power and passion, and the balance of dedication and fun they bring. Band-Maid is still my #1, but Nemophila is right up there and does heavy metal especially in a mighty satisfying way. "Okay. Me go now."

About the old men part: yes, many of us are. Because we remember real hard rock and metal and these younger bands playing rock this good is like cool water in the desert to us. This fanbase makeup is beginning to change as many young people tire of the current stuff being pushed by the big labels and check out both old and new rock and metal. More young people are showing up in the live audiences as they learn about these bands, which is wonderful. Rock on!

The number one mistake reviews make on their channel is the volume of the music is way too soft. You can't turn up the volume because the your voice is screaming loud. When this happens I just skip the review......hope this helps.

Hey a Brewtiful side fact (well for me) band work requires child care for singer adn drummer. drummer has two singer has one. Some of their early vids inckude the drummers oldest wandering into shot during a pandemic home studio to home studio session and then there is a making of with the same kid just being a sweet little kid between takes. I love working moms in music. From my real world pal Christy McWilson (her daughter turns 35 soon, my oldest 34) to Sarah Blackwood who's three boys have been on the road since conception and now are a three peice boy band witht eh five year old fronting. Isis Layton of Barb Wire Dolls and Prince of Lillies is a mommy The last release form Polly Styrene featured her daughter (if you have a bad day aournd the Holidays just play her song black Christmas. Oh and never forget that the Dolly Rots are a mom and dad plus a drummer.

Not a big fan of introducing people to Nemophila with a song that doesn't have a single harsh vocal in it. It is such a big part of the band, better to give them the full picture on the first song instead of a statistical outlier like Raitei.
