I’m super late to the party here but I just found you. As an elder millennium and a diehard NSYNC fan, you need to watch the Making the Video for bye bye bye (they have one for IGBM too). It was amazing watching them do the stunts (JC: “Lance broke the car!”) and figure out dancing in the spinning room! I don’t even care if you react to it but you have to watch it! Their "Gone" song and video was the first to crack the R&B charts to get to number one...especially on the BET 106&Park countdown show. It was unheard of for a white boyband to do that. It was a big deal to them because they finally felt mainstreamed. The 90's and 2000's pretty much was dominated by black music, writers, producers and music video girls. We set the tone that everybody danced to. Once NSync, mostly Justin in his solo career, got those connections...they were in.

Actually the storyline for the video has nothing to do with a relationship breakup it's to do with the boys cutting ties with there record label after being cond out of all of there money (witch JC's uncle helped get back btw 😘) they felt trapped like puppets in a puppet show so the song is actually about them cutting the stings and no longer feeling like puppets

It’s incredible that this song, along with the album title, No Strings Attached was their way of saying goodbye & cutting ties with their former manager Lou Pearlman, who stole from them along with the Backstreet Boys. Lou was blinded by greed and he got what he deserved.

Actually, they used the green screen for the pupet's scene, they actually run above a train and did all the scenes themselves but the theater's scene. You should watch the make of Bye Bye Bye video, it's on KZbin, you'll ser how the whole train scene, the car chase and everything was done, even that blue cage is actually real.
