Wings was formed in 71, way before John was shot. This was written as the theme song for the James Bond film of the same name

One thing I think you have to remember is that this was written for and used all through the James Bond Live and Let Die movie. It wasn't just a song they used in the movie. It's in the action scenes, the quiet scenes and of course, the title sequence. Guns N' Roses just used it to rock out to. They didn't have to have all the flash.

WINGS was wasaaay before Lennon died; he formed that group no more than a year after the Beatles broke up. This song is arguably the best James Bond movie theme song ever, and there’s like 50 of them do that’s pretty good.

Paul with Wings created some great music. My Love, Let me Roll it, 1984, Band on the run off the top of my head. Also a more current love song your lady will love My Valentine

You need to see Sir Paul do this live. If you look on KZbin you'll find vids of him doing this last month at Glastonbury the week after his 80th birthday, the performance & show effects are stunning.

As a yoot...one of my favorite songs from Paul was UNCLE ALBERT/ADMIRAL HALSEY. Being a child the fun and the joy is unparalleled. I will still sing this as loud as I can now 55, every time I hear it.

I saw McCartney live a couple months ago. The man is 80 years old and put on a 3 hour concert. This song was amazing live, especially the pyrotechnics he does with the song.

Live and let die had voodoo and tarot cards in it and was set in Harlem, new Orleans and the Carribbean islands which is prob why there some reggae vibes in the middle.the song has slow romantic bits then fast action bits like the film.

From James Bond movie “Live and let die”, probably unpopular opinion but Wings is one of my fave groups. I enjoy them more than Beatles. Band on the Run” great song.

They don't do this anymore in movies but they played this song in it's entirety to open the James Bond movie "live and let die". I love "Shrek" too but it hits even harder in the context of the bond movie.

IMO probably the best James Bond movie song because it musically and lyrically describes the ups and downs of being a "secret agent." the song is more about the secret agent and not just having a "sexy ballad" to sell the movie. the song made me go see the movie not the other way around, and I bought the entire soundtrack album - first movie score album I ever bought. Lsitened to tiover and over. I went on to become a music teacher. Then the mysterious long chord at the end, adding a mood of mystery, like what's about to happen next. Thanks to former Beatles producer's George Martin's brilliant orchestra scoring for the song as well. McCartney and Martin, what a team. Yet the the idiot movie producers, after listening to the finished recording in full, wanted someone else to sing the song. George Martin said no, [he was furious] it's either Paul or we scrap the whole thing...One of the greatest songwriter/ performers in the world with a track record to prove it, and ya'll want someone else to sing the song? GFY basically...Martin was the guy who produced ALL the Beatles hits and albums [even the Let It Be album originally until Lennon handed it over to Phil Spector to monkey with months later], and wrote the entire score to the movie. What a sick joke to even assume it wasn't good enough. The movie producers must have had tin ears or were deaf. The song went to #2 on the charts that summer [1973]. Duh!

Great one, check out his "Band On The Run" probably his greatest solo song, you'll hear more great transition work. Make a note to check this one out, I promise you'll be blown away. This transition stuff from Paul goes back to that little known band he was in, you know, The Beatles. John and Paul were masters at transition songs. You only need to go back to 1967 with John's "A Day In The Life" from their "Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" album. To this day, this song is still regarded as the the greatest album track in history 55 years after it's release. I realize The Beatles are a tuff do but contest it, I see people doing this one and other Beatles songs. It may take a few weeks but you may be able to get it out there. One more from their last album "Abbey Road" George Harrison's "Here Comes The Sun" which is just beautiful and is The Beatles most streamed song on Spotify. Even with all of the incredible Lennon/McCartney compositions this one is their most streamed one. You would want to do the 50th anniversary remix with video, sounds incredible. Also with "A Day In The Life" you want the 2017 50th anniversary remix and once again, incredible ! Hope to see these and I really need to steer you towards some Bob Dylan in the near future, you have no idea what you're missing. ☮️✌️💕👌

in my mind there are two versions of "The Beatles". The Beatles before George Martin and the Beatles after....George was a record producer who got tapped to help the Beatles in studio....and really think all the Beatles used his knowledge of Classical and more richer versions of musics, and fused it with their own to make something timeless and genius....you can see a lot of Georges' influence in the later Beatles work...its almost like he met with them and said "You guys are good...you're really good.....But I can make you immortal if you listen to me"

I always felt like out of the Beatles Paul seemed stuck up so I didn't like him. It took until me watching the great doc GET BACK last year for me to realize he wasn't so bad at all.
