I could be wrong but I think this is one of the recordings they did during the pandemic, when they were unable to physically be together.

I think the only place you'll hear it song is on Pentatonix pop spring concert I just don't remember. I think that's the song that they only play at concerts

Another great Kirstie lead and Kirstie written song is "Love Me When I Don't". That was quite the breakdown of the symbolism in the video. Who knew you were so deep? 😁😜

Appreciated your reflection on the visual representation. I also agree on the 80s vibe, reminiscent of Enya, i thought.

Enya is exactly who I always thought of as well. Particularly at the beginning, it makes me think a ton of Orinoco Flow

I don’t think you’ve done it yet, but I’m sure it’s been recommended, is the 2016 pop spring performance. It’s about 15 mins but includes 3 original songs. I’m also going to throw in recommendations for Superfruit Deny U and How You Feeling.

Thanks, Zack! My fav lead by Kirstie is Water. A great live version is found within the 2016 Popspring concert, professionally filmed so quality is great. 3 originals and the MJ medley. I checked your playlist, don't see that you've reacted to it yet. Of course, Say Something is also led by Kirstie, and very very good. Cheers and HNY!

Molly Ringwald getting ready for a dance, LOL, Pretty accurate picture you painted there. I think that was the groove she was shooting for.
@lesaahrenstein6360 Жыл бұрын
The song is off of their album The Lucky Ones put out in 2021. All of the songs on this album are originals. If you listen to all of them you'll see that relationships seems to be the Common Thread throughout. I completely understood your analogy to Molly Ringwald. I also love the way you broke down the cinematography. I have not seen a reactor ever do that. This is why I watch reaction videos. At 1:40 when Kirstie first says be my eyes and then repeats it again remind an awful lot of people of Enya. Their first album of all originals, and forgive me I don't remember the name right now, has sing and love again. Their first video to go viral is Somebody I Used to Know by Goyte. If you want to get away from Pentatonix the group and react to their solo stuff there's a lot out there. Christy has her Channel Kirstin it has her EP titled love which has six tracks on it. I think all of the videos have a real short behind the scenes. Mitch's solo work is under the name Messer. Scott released his debut EP called parallel in July there are seven songs on the album with deeply personal lyrics about self-discovery, overcoming adversity and profound love. Mainly it's about his relationship with his now husband Mark who appears in the videos or at least the videos I've seen seen. Kevin has his channel KO. If you haven't watched his cover of Marian Hills down you should. To hear the backstory on Kevin and how he became a part of Pentatonix and the evolution of his cello boxing while with Pentatonix watch Kevin's fifth. It is phenomenal. Please don't forget Avi's solo work. His first EP released is titled I'll get by. Most people listen to change on the rise first. This is Avi's true musical voice. His first album floating on a dream was released May 20th 2022. The song I relate to the most is the first place I go. Anton Chekhov says that the role of the artist is not to answer questions but to ask them for me that is how I would describe this song because I can relate to it on three different areas of my life. That hopefully will keep you busy not only reading it but hopefully doing these reactions. I subscribe to the first time I visited your Channel. I really appreciate your candidness.

Kirstie seems to lead with pop music..Mitch likes EDM….Scott leans soul, rhythm/blues…but they can sing anything. As for originals my favorite, and it’s an early one, is Sing, you can’t help but smile with it! Happy Now is my other go to pick me up song by them. Love Me When I Don’t is another Kirstie one, along with the beautiful Water. They released their album of originals ( The Lucky Ones) right at the same time the pandemic hit so they were unable to tour in support of it. It’s got some amazing songs. They also have originals sprinkled in their other older albums like Pentatonix, their self titled album from 2015 ( Can’t Sleep Love is another gem as is Cracked!) Another great reaction. I’d go with Sing to ease you out of the Christmas music 😊

I love Kirstie's leads and songs. Another older original, written by Kevin and Avi I believe, that's got an electronic sound is "Love Again". "Sing" is a happy song that you can't help but smile watching and listening to. (I'm not sure specifically who wrote that one) They have a deep catalog. I've been to 2 of their concerts and had a blast. They are so good! I'm loving your channel Zack. Good luck and Happy New Year to you. 👍❤️

This song is from their album The Lucky Ones, which has a number of original songs. Kirstie has this one and another, Love Me When I Don't. Both songs have similar lyrical themes of having someone you can have help you when you're mental/emotional state isn't what you'd like. The 80s feel for me is very reminiscent of Enya's Orinoco Flow, especially at the beginning.
@ruth2141 Жыл бұрын
This is from their second originals album "The Lucky Ones" (2021), one of several that Kirstie co-wrote; all of the group members wrote or co-wrote songs for the album. For their original songs, PTX members always co-write with other songwriters, and for this album they worked with some experienced pop producers and vocal processors. One of their goals is to be competitive with current hit pop artists so they have experimented with using instruments, although some things that sound like instruments are actually their vocals with processing to make them sound like synths, keyboards, etc.

Wow, Zach. You pointed some things out that I would have never thought of. That is one of the things about watching reactors that I really enjoy. But do you also bring the humor with every video. Definitely one of the things that I really enjoy about watching you. Thanks. I will always enjoy you. Crushing on Kirstie. I personally crush on Mitch. But I’m a hetero 63-year-old woman. So I’d have to be at least 30 years younger and a gay male. 🤫 there is so much more videos now to watch. Not Christmas. I look forward to your reactions to them. Not sure what you’ve done already. Might have to check that out before I can recommend some stuff. 🤗💋🥰

I really love this song, it’s a thoughtful song, about a person she loves. I think her vocals in this song are sultry and smoky, just blows me away. BTW there is no “ear” sound in her name. To get the sound, you need to add an “e”. It would be Kierstin. She doesn’t care, but I’d think you’d want to say it right. K-ur-stin

If you love Kirstie as much as you say you do, you must react to her acoustic videos. The one that pops up if you Google "kirstin - Break A Little (Acoustic) (Live From The Shadowland Foundation)" is my favorite. I understand why many of Pentatonix singers want a "radio sound." But their voices are so ethereal, so beautiful, acoustic is so much better. And she is the most stunning when she sings outside in the sunshine.

I could be wrong, but I believe he is referring to the background vocals giving an ‘electronic’ sound, similar to the Daft Punk Medley, not actual electronics.
