Pentatonix is generally considered to be the best acapella group in the world. They have a huge catalog of both original and covers. Their covers are generally considered up grades. All cansing. Kevin is a tenor and it's magical when he gets a chance. He is considered to be the most talented and is pre-med graduate from Yale.

Avi, the guy with the beard, was the second solo. He is also the bass. Kevin, black guy in the back, is the beat boxer. He occasionally has a solo, but usually does all of the percussion.

Leonard Cohen wrote and performed Hallelujah. It has Biblical references reflecting his Jewish heritage, faith, doubt, and praise. In an interview, he said that life can be hard but it's possible to express praise, hallelujah, despite brokenness.

This was written in 1984, before anyone in PTX was born, by Leonard Cohen. It is not a religious song. If you listen closely to the lyrics, you'll understand what it's all about. The pain & the joy of human love. Everyone had a solo (Including the guy with the beard. In fact, he was the very first one to sing. You might want to watch it again. He takes over the bass line when Avi, their bass singer and the one wearing a beanie, sings his own solo. It's so very seamless.) except Kevin, the beatboxer. This was before Kevin felt confident enough to sing. The Mojave Desert is where this was filmed. It spans California, Utah, Navada, & Arizona.

Avi with the beard left the group in 2017, and Matt replaced him as the bass. That's the only change they've had. The song is about heartbreak. Great reaction. They just released this song live a couple of weeks again. You should react to it.

Who writes for the group? They all do! If there’s a lead it’s usually the writer on an original - but it’s always the voice best suited to the song. Also, there’s a new Christmas show with Pentatonix in it - Meet Me Next Christmas - due out November 6.

If you want to hear original music please react to Pentatonix popspring performance 2016 you get 3 original songs and The evolution of Michael Jackson. That would be fun to do, or you could also do The singoff. It's a show where they started from.

Ok if you are going to do reactions, PAY ATTENTION. There are 5 members in the group and 4 did solos in this song. The only one that didn’t was Kevin (the beatboxer/ body percussion.)

Just a little advice; research your group/subject before reacting. Know the names of the members of the group and their backgrounds, then know the song, its composer. You will sound more informed and offer a better reaction to us.
