Princes Of The Universe is one of the songs off the Highlander movie soundtrack!! In fact, Brian once commented that he had wished that he had written this song!! When the Highlander film was scripted for a TV Series, this song was used as the intro theme to the series!! One of my mom’s favorite movies starring Sean Connery & Queen’s awesome soundtrack! 🛡️⚔️💥 “Here we are, born to be Kings” 👑 Ain’t it the truth?? 🫅🏻

I heard a few Queen songs before I knew about the band. We Will Rock You, Princes of the Universe, and We Are the Champions. I learned the name of the band through the Wayne's World soundtrack which featured Bohemian Rhapsody.

Thanks Stan for yet another wonderful reaction to our favorite band Queen... Yes, this was one of five songs written by all four members of the band respectfully... the movie Highlander was also spun off into a short- run series of the same name... great movie... blessings.

Another song written for the Queen Soundtrack for the movie Highlander. This one was written by Freddie. The songs from this album seem to be longer lived than the actual movie. I have never watched it to my knowledge, perhaps I should check it out. I love the Queen songs, they really stepped up to the challenge on this soundtrack. Thank you for reacting to this song.

"Princes of the Universe" is a song written by Freddie and performed by Queen for the film Highlander. It was released on the album "A Kind of Magic", featuring other selections from the Highlander song. Queen contributed several songs to the Highlander soundtrack, including “A Kind of Magic,” “One Year of Love,” “Who Wants to Live Forever,” “Hammer to Fall,” “Princes of the Universe,” and “Gimme the Prize (Kurgan’s Theme)”. "Princes of the Universe", is the only song on the album for which Freddie receives sole credit. The song's name comes from the original working title of the film. It is played over the film's opening credits and was later used as the opening theme for Highlander: The Series. FYI - Did you notice that Brian is playing a Washburn RR11V instead of his Red Special?

Ok, here's the rundown of the Highlander Universe: There is 6 films, 2 TV series, an animated series, there's one RPG role playing game, one video game, 10 books and 4 comic series. All of these items tie into the Highlander/McCloud story and are cannon. Sorry for the dump of nerdism's, sir. As usual your reviews are fantastic. Thank so much for all your hard work on them.
