Actually their former main drummer Joey Castillo played on this. I found this out a few years ago after 15 years of thinking it was Dave Grohl. I was disappointed, but dude killed them fucking drums on this. But Grohl played on half of the album I believe.

The meaning of the song is that order arises out of the desire to mate with women. Chaos is confronted by order in the video, the mad max driver represents chaos, and then it shows the devil's fork (lust) confronting the dragon of chaos. The important thing being that the lust has a directed goal, rather than veering off nowhere. You could also look at it like evil destroying evil, symbolized by the devil stabbing the dragon (represented by the inky swirls). The mad max car is a fearsome opponent, but to face it head on, is to confront one's fear. The woman also symbolizes chaos, as has often been reflected in roman and greek mythology. She is represented as a temptress, who uses men for pleasure, because she does not understand love. The singer narrates "going with the flow" to mean a man pursuing what he desires in a jungian sense, rather than doing what others tell him to do. He has to "go with the flow" in order to be truly independent, and veering off is often the result of taking too much of the advice of others to heart, rather than synthesizing it to suit himself; largely because he hasn't found himself. Instead of running from violence or being distracted by lust, he confronts both them directly and blows right through them. He mates with the woman, but isn't convinced by her pretensions to false love. He finds himself by going with the flow, discovering how he himself would naturally feel about things, then cultivating that sense of himself. And then he confronts the dragon, etc., etc. His victory is symbolized by the flames and the car speeding much faster down the road to escape the desert of misery (sort of like Moses and the desert, in the bible). Or maybe I'm overthinking the damn music video :V
