First time hearing reaction Hawkwind brainstorm live stonehenge 1984 and studio

I was at Stonehenge '84. I've seen Hawkwind before, and after that gig, but it's the one that sticks in my mind the most.

They had a new age progressive element to the sound from about 79 to 85. The live footage is originally a bootleg so not the best quality recording and they're tripping out here so its a bit all over the place which is the way they were at unorganised free festivals like Stonehenge, its sort of their hippie side. RIP Nik Turner the crazy lead singer - he co-wrote the song with Hawkwind's main man Dave Brock. Its about going crazy. The lead guitar is Huw Lloyd Langdon who is also no longer with us - Hawkwind have gone through many members and sounds.

unorganised ? tons of people were involved in getting stonehenge together , Big Steve and the polytantric crew used to sort Nik's pyramid stage , Here and Now provided the PA for the main stage and students from sussex sorted the lights , then the convoy folk sorted toilet pits and festival welfare etc . the last two 83/84 lasted a month and their was no health problems to speak off . an amazing effort by all involved . Happy Daze !
