I could swear I first heard this song in the late seventies sometime, maybe the 1977. When I had my 1968 Chevy lowrider. It could be part tejano.

Thanks for listening to this song. I referred to it as rap cause he sure isn't singing. But of course it being so close to the beginning of what is actually thought of as rap and rap still being popular mostly in the black community, they wouldn't have ever even considered his style as rap. But this is what cholos (Mexican gangsters) like to play in while cruising the boulevard along with oldies, funk, Banda, and of course rap. Freddy Fender actually sings Tex Mex goes back even farther than Jhonny Chingas and his music is actually really good. And Linda Ronstadt will really impress you. And I'm a he by the way. Thaks again.
