Regine is the inspiration of every Filipino singer/belter because she popularized belting in the Philippines.She paved the way for all the "contiseras" like Sarah,Angeline,Mori,Katrina,Gigi,and a lot more. Regine was a contisera herself which means a champion or a regular of singing contests.Her techniques have influenced a lot of our current singers.

Hi Gabe. Thank you for this beautiful reaction. Regine is the Goldstandard/blueprint when it comes to belting in the Philippines. She sang this live in 2005 when she was only 35 years old. This was during her prime years when Regine was a light lyric soprano. You should watch her live performance of Piece of Sky👏👏
