"The Hunger" for some super fast rap. But really, anything Ren. Just be prepared to be surprised. If you want old school Beastie Boys style fun, go for, "What You Want." Pure 100% upbeat fun. Also, if you want some samples of different styles in one piece, The Big Push (his band) mashup of "I Shot The Sheriff/Road To Zion/Hip Hop" it's the version with Ren in red suspenders.

Title is double entendres. He us actually sick and looking for answers that he never seems to find. Ran through his symptoms in the stomach ache part and also the pathologic entity. He has Lyme disease and autoimmunity. And he also knows how to rap. I love watching him claim some power.

So glad you reacted to this one. There's a reluctant explanation from Ren on the title. Obviously, there’s a double there, but this is very much about Ren being medically quite ill. To me, all the lyrics after he says he doesn't feel so well are all about the brain damage he's suffered from his autoimmune disease. See: I don't feel so fresh, my bro / Things get slurry, speaking slow / Head in Hong Kong, wonton soup / Is what I have for brains, I know" (he's got noodles for brains). He's facing death (knocking on the sky) & doesn't think he's going anywhere good (banished from the heavens). He's in an impossible place (the corner of a sphere/cornea) and then lastly the last two lines are about the years of doctor's visits and surgeries, suffering and trying to figure out what's wrong with him (throwback to the Sherlock Holmes bar in the beginning): "Look for all the answers that I never seem to find / Till then, I guess I'm still the illest of our time." I think it ends rather sad and despairing. I just found your channel, but I'm hoping you've reacted to "Power," "Money Game" (at least part 2, though both parts are great), or "Ocean," which he did with Eden Nash. If you want to see Ren just goofing and spitting try, his retake of Fisher's EDM track "Losing It" or "What You Want" (an homage to Beastie Boys/late 80s-early 90s rap).

Illest also double meaning as he has been suffering with his illness. He’s so down to earth and not afraid to sing about depression, mental illness, the state of the world. It’s so refreshing compared to songs about getting more money and showing off.
