So many reactors do not understand that Ren is as talented as a producer as he is a musician. It’s kind of not surprising because when he first began taking music seriously at around 12 / 13 years old, his ambition and goal was to become a producer, not an artist, so he really honed his skills at a young age and I think his Dad may also have been a producer at some point in his career.

I know very little about audio engineering and music production but oh man I love that you’re nerdy enough to get excited about even small sound choices 😂 Ren has definitely spent a lot of time playing around with music production and he writes music with so much care and passion down to every little detail. Whether from practice or innate musicality, he always find just the right balance when adding little sounds and backing vocals. I love that blublublublue. And how hard he goes on the “you unleashed a sleeping beast”. So much force and emotion. Can’t wait for you to get to Crutch feat. Bibi for an entirely different side of Ren and one of my absolute favourites. Also if you want more in a similar vein as this song, check out Diazepam, Heretic, and Hold On. No matter what you choose next though it will be great. Probably why some of his songs seem underrated. They’re all good so it becomes hard to recommend them all 😅

One of my favourite Ren songs, for the message, the singing, the melody. But seeing you guys nerd out (as I did) hearing the production quality that Bronn achieves as a solo bedroom style producer is just frigging amazing. For as good an actor, singer, performer, lyricist, song writer, video producer... Ren also happens to be an absolutely amazing Sound Engineer & Producer! Absolutely I'd love the nerdy stems stuff... Do it for this song & then go into Chinchilla Elements... Because she uses at least 6 vocal harmonies as an instrument in that song.... Love seeing you love the music.

This is my absolute favorite Ren song. I bought the CD with this on it and play the heck out of it. Didn't think I'd ever find a favorite, since all his songs are gold but, this just checks Every box for me. It lacks nothing. Another really great one is ahiahiahoah featuring bibi, really amazing. Excellent reaction to a great song. What's weird is that every time I hear this song, it's as if I'm hearing it for the first time. That's true of a lot of his songs. I've been trying to come up with a personal top five Ren list, but it always turns out to be a top eight: Ready For You, Heretic, Power, Humble, Seven Sins, Fred Again Mashup, Lost All Faith, Wicked Ways. That's what the list is today, but tomorrow I'll hear or remember another song and the list will change. One day I'll realize that Ren can't be contained in a list of any kind. 😂

Just because you mentioned drums again. The track "Animal Flow" you guys loved so much, was built from the drums up. The pattern begat the song. Trivial, but I thought you might be interested. Also the drummer from The Big Push, never appears to get the respect he deserves. He get's so much from a relatively small kit. Never showy, he just sits perfectly in the pocket. Just an observation to bear in mind the next time you review the Big Push as a quartet. Another great review from the warm and fuzzy duo. Nice one.
