It’s not our fault! There’s so much music down the Ren rabbit hole and it’s all good! Including everything by Trick the Fox and The Big Push. We can’t list everything 😅 But I can recommend one of my personal favourites: Crutch feat. Bibi. It’s an older song from before Ren was finally correctly diagnosed with Lyme disease and was written after a breakdown following multiple emergency trips to the hospital. It is heart wrenching and stunning. Edit: and yes, Ren is a big cutie playing with it and sounding good 😂 Sam does have that buttery smooth RnB voice, but personally I much prefer Ren. His range from those crooner lows to crazy highs is stupid impressive, he’s got so much character and soul to his voice, and there’s just something about Ren that draws you in. The man is special.

Since it's rather hard to type with inflection and nuance, just be sure I sincerely mean what I am going to post. Technically, it's only my opinion, but I think others may back me up. Although I don't know the timeline perfectly, you have to remember that when Ren performs, he's quite literally singing for his life. It's what got him through his worst times, and it still serves him as such today. And I truly believe he respects the craft/art as much as he loves it. And I get that a lot of musicians do as well (I went to school for it a few thousand years ago! ). But I think music really did save his life, and he remains constantly aware of that. Keep me honest, Renegades, if I missed the mark here. 😅

Sam Tompkins is TOTALLY worth checking out too! He's got some great singles, and the story of how he and Ren met is fun too... Sam was singing on the street, and Ren noticed he could use support/started playing guitar for him and gave him some confidence (in Sam's song Time Will Fly there's a clip of that first interaction, and baby Ren & Sam is SO adorable!). After that they became best friends and ROCK together. Highly recommend Blind Eyed (there's a few great versions on YT, but I LOVE the MC (Music Crowns) version as a first listen.

Am loving your reactions. ❤ Sam Tompkins is a star in his own right. Ren heard him busking but without an amp and offered to lend him his. He told him it would stop people in their tracks if he used it as his voice would travel. It did and they became friends. Ren followed Sams success and was proud of him. Ren and his friends are in a league of their own! ❤ Thank you for doing this and following Ren 😊 It has been so awesome watching your passion and excitement grow since you went head first down the rabbit hole. Always here for someone discovering Ren! As someone else said, too many to recommend. Hope you did “Hi Ren”, that is always the starting point. Anything in his catalog is pure gold. He discovered Sam when he was 16, busking on the streets without a microphone. He set him up and they are best friends now. Sam is on tour, his music will make you cry, so beautiful. Then there is The Big Push, the band Ren was in. Every one of them are unbelievable talents in their own right. Not one bad song. Start with “I Shot the Sheriff/Road to Zion/Hip Hop” with Ren in the red suspenders. You will not be sorry. Now you can’t say that no one told you!😉
