Ren actually has a Huge range. It's not until you get into these busking videos that you get to experience it. As good as "Hi Ren" and "Sick Boi" is, and powerful of a message, neither one show off Ren's voice like this.

I was there and have been privileged to have been there many times when Ren is performing. It always amazes me when people just walk past without stopping BUT most people do stop and watch because they can't help themselves. It's always fun to watch people going about their business and then getting stopped in their tracks by the brilliance happening in front of them.

Your reactions to Ren make my day ❤ the fact Ren & Sam are live amazes me. I’ve been to live concerts and been slightly disappointed when the artists sound so different to their records because live performances without studio mixing to smooth it out are rarely the same. There’s a few people live that are insanely good like Adele but it’s rare. I’d love to see Ren live, I know it would be vocally crisp and the concert would be so much fun. You come across Hi Ren because it's everywhere and you think "That's amazing, what else has he done"? you look, not expecting that he could match it cos it's always disappointing when you hear an outstanding song and look for more. Everything I've heard has been exceptional, if Ren doesn't become top 10 in the world of artists I'll be shocked.

So many of his covers are as good as if not better than the originals. Hence the line from Hi Ren where he says to himself ; " You criminal rip off artist the pinnacle of your success is stealing other people's material ". Bit harsh though as he absolutely kills it time and again with the covers.He has an incredible range and versatility

Nicely said - never heard Man's world like that before, sooo cool! Just like others said Ren has a huge and diverse range in various genres as you probably figured from doing the Trilogy and Chalk Outlines. Maybe see him mix things up in this rap - Money Game 1 and 2, Hunger, Power, etc and the Big Push band busking - Englishman in NY, Bongo Bong, I shot the sheriff, etc.

The guitar bit at the end is clearly inspired by Eddie Hazel's masterpiece "Maggot Brain" from Funkadelic. It uses the same ostinato and the guitar tones are spot on. Ren plays his own improvised lead lines, but the inspiration is clear.
