Just caught this one……nice Shawn. As you may have guessed, yeah, I’m a bit of a Rush fan. Glad you enjoyed this one. Suggestions…that a tough one…maybe Xanadu (if you do that one, I recommend the Exit Stage Left live version in 81). Hope you are doing well.✌️

Thank you for your Rush reaction Shawn. As you will be told by Rush fans Rush has a very deep impressive rabbit hole. But if you want to see and hear the creme de la creme of musicianship you need to react to Xanadu, specifically the Exit Stage Left version.

There are so many incredible Rush songs to react to, but the battle of Dionysus and Apollo in "Hemispheres" is my favorite.

Great song and great reaction. For you I would suggest Nobody's Hero. It is a later song from Rush and it is a very personal song for Neil. It was written to honor every day people who do the little things to help others. Neil was inspired to write the song after learning of the passing of an old friend followed very closely by the death of a teenaged girl who was the daughter of a family friend. I think you will find these lyrics more to your liking.

This is a great song; I actually suggest checking out the live version of this song from the Snakes and Arrows tour. Watching them perform all of this complicated music is a thrill! Otherwise, I also suggest the live version of 'Between the Wheels' from the R30 tour. Dark song, Alex's got an amazing guitar solo; great lyrics by Neil, and Geddy's multitasking on bass, vocals and keys.

@generoberts9151 You are for sure in the wrong place Gene. You need to go watch the countless overreactors. When I am hearing a song for the first time I am taking it in. Its an honest reaction. Like I said you need something you aren't going to get here so time to move along.

Can't see early Rush being quite your thing, but you'll find a LOT more to like from this point in their history and on. Just do a full deep dive into 80s Rush for 'starters'!

This band has a extremely deep rabbit hole , Try another side of Rush they have Violin players , The song is called the Garden , The lyrics are very emotional , Fir this song I would recommend the live version the Garden Clockwork Angels Tour , The song is about protecting and looking over your family , Neil Wrote the lyrics , He lost a daughter in a car Crash and shortly after his Wife to cancer ,, Geddys parents were Holocaust survivors, And Alex Dad was a political prisoner in Serbia , , So this song is very emotional to all, the band members

Hello from Brasil! This song, in addition to having wonderful lyrics, also has in its instrumental part Rush's most monstrous solo and one of the most spectacular in music: drums, bass and guitar soloing with EVERYTHING, extracting EVERYTHING from their instruments! From Rush I also recommend the live videos for "Xanadu" and "Red Barchetta" from the show "Exit: Stage Left". The oficial videos for "La Villa Strangiato", "Tom Sawyer", "Subdivisions" and "Afterimage". The live video for "The Weapon" from the "Grace Under Pressure Tour" show. The live video of "YYZ" from the "Rush in Rio" show. The live video of "Working Man" live in Cleveland!

Strange you haven't heard this one it's one of their more popular songs and a staple of every tour. "each of us, a cell of awareness, imperfect and incomplete. Genetic blends, with uncertain ends, on a fortune hunt that's far too fleet." Try Natural Science off the same album next. 😊

I’m about the biggest Rush fan there ever has been. Just ask all the women who refused to date me. But I gotta say………… this song is overrated to me and I never listen to it when it comes up on a playlist or on the radio. 🤷🏻‍♂️ I’m not sorry. I appreciate it but …… I’m tired of it and it’s not that great compared to other songs, even little known songs of theirs.

Heretic! Just messing with you. I get it. Tom Sawyer is *not* one of my favorites (albeit fantastic) and was just about the only song radio ever played, others love it, have heard it 47 gazillion times, and there is *so* many other Rush songs that are equal or far better.

I get it totally. Oversaturation is a difficult thing to overcome with music. Even if you originally loved something chances are high that if you hear it on repeat you will NOT love it anymore haha
