Shinedown doesn’t make a bad song. They wrote “Atlas Falls” before the pandemic and turned out to be a good song to get through it, and dedicated the video to first responders. You may like the group Nothing More. They do a lot of true story songs “God Went North” resonates with me because it’s about his mother dying of cancer and I had to go through that to. “Jenny” is about his sisters struggles with drugs and mental health issues.

I just saw Shinedown July 21st for my 69th birthday. Lead singer Brent Smith came over and sang to me. He made me cry end of show Zach gave me his pick & the song list. I love this band. ❤

Lead singer Brent Smith wrote this song about bandmate/bassist Eric Bass. Eric has been dealing with anxiety & depression for years. Shinedown is an amazing group and super cool guys. I've had the opportunity to shoot photos of them 6 times(I'm a photographer for a radio station). If they ever come close to where you live... go see them!! You will have the best time.
