I'm so glad you listened to this song as your first from Smokey Robinson and the Miracles. This is the creme de la creme! You can hear the pain and the longing in Smokey's voice as he's begging for another chance with the woman he lost for not doing right. I would highly suggest you listen to "Tracks of my Tears" next.

Motown music… So many great performers so many great songs, Smokey was there in the beginning, one of the creators of Motown along with Barry Gordy. Can’t go wrong with Motown sound
@VIsidore2 жыл бұрын
Berry Gordy wrote for Jackie Wilson. Smokey Robinson wanted to give Jackie Wilson a few songs. Barry Gordy gave him a chance when others didn't think that his songs were any good. Smokey Robinson said that he looked for the song writers name on each record. That's a good idea. Did you see Motown on Broadway or the Kennedy Center Honors? I have been to the Motown museum. It was amazing.
@dwsheffer2 жыл бұрын
@@VIsidore BErry Gordy wrote songs for Detroiter Jackie Wilson....it was BG's songs for JW that got him recognition and the minimal royalty checks for these hits that persuaded Berry to start Motown.
