Since she was suffering from pneumonia, it was almost a miracle that this stage was achived. Perhaps thank to the prayers of her and people involved, she was able to finish the stage safely, and she had to be hospitalized immediately. She is actually a very enegetic and high-pitched singer, and F5, the highest note of the song, is a very easy note for her. However, when she went to finale, she was almost exhausted, so she managed to make sound. Ironically, her condition and desperate attempts were able to complete the dynamic and soft tone that fits the song perfectly, and this rendition, which will go down in history with wonderful costumes, lighting, choirs, and stage equipment, was completed.

Sohyang started singing in church. She traveled with a church group for a while. She's a Christian woman with one of the most beautiful voices on this planet. So, you said it sounds like She's in church preaching to us, well there you go. She went to the hospital with pneumonia after this performance. She was told not to perform that night, but being the trooper she is she sang anyway. I truly love her and she's my number artist of all time.

Not sure I agree. If our favourite reactor here watches everyone, they may need to carry him out in a straight jacket! Almost every reactor comments about the ethereal quality in SoHyang's (pronounced So hyoung) voice. There is a reason for that heavenly sound. I watched an interview with SoHyang and she mentioned that she was practicing when the Lord spoke to her and told her not to practice so much. She works hard at her craft and couldn't fathom why He would say that so she asked why. She said He answered and said that when she practices so much, it doesn't leave room for Him and He wants to sing through her. Yes, I fully believe her because I have had such interactions with our Lord before.

This is one of my favourite Sohyang performances. My exception to the rule off not watching her sing while ill. She was recovering from pneumonia as many have said. This performance was a type of goodbye as she had thoughts of giving up singing due to the repeated bouts of pneumonia she had gone through so I really feel she gave her all here. How did she sing with pneumonia? Probably a miracle.

After this reaction, I can't wait to see "Everyone" as many people suggest, BUT SAVE IT for later. As Konstantinos Sfendourakis mentioned, after pneumonia, she is slightly less powerful and can't hold notes as long as she used to (even though she's still powerful and holds notes longer than many singers). So venture through I Am a Singer songs, Masked Singer and more recent Begin Again songs and mix Immortal Songs here and there. She was amazing in I Am a Singer, but just got famous through I Am a Singer for her high notes. Yet she was a little raw, but after I Am a Singer, she mastered her voice and you can tell by comparing 2012 "I have nothing," the first song she sang for I Am a Singer when she was basically a unknown singer to 2015 I Am a Singer Legends performance. 2012 was one of her biggest stage as it was her rare chance to be on television. She "wasn't good" compared to 2015. Perhaps she was a little nervous, but also you can tell she matured and mastered her voice. Btw, SAVE "I have nothing" 2015 for later as well. Yup. We figure God broke the mould after He made Sohyang. We know of no more astonishingly talented female singer anywhere in this world. And she does all the arrangements for her songs, as well. She is like the perfect package of what the ultimate female vocalist should be. She just sweeps you up in her performances and it is impossible not to be moved to your core by experiencing a performance from her. You are in the palm of her hand and you don't even realize it until she stops and you finally comprehend that she has just taken you on a musical journey like you have never experienced before. Sohyang sang this song while suffering from pneumonia. Don't ask us how but this is almost like simple routine for her. And this song is a perfect testimony of her life of suffering and trial by fire that she still manages to overcome. She will tell you straightforwardly that it is God who has given her this voice, and then sets her on her feet again in the most difficult times of health problems. It is wonderful to see another reactor who loves Sohyang as much as we do. She has never performed "You Raise Me Up" with this arrangement ever again as far as any of us know. So are we ever blessed that it was captured like this for us. 😃

As great and impressive as it is to watch a talented singer perform, she isn't doing this to just show off, it is part of her story telling. Angelic is the ONLY word that describes Sohyang's voice. There is a large contingent of her fans that believe she really IS an Angel. That moment when everything stops and she sends that exquisite note ringing through the auditorium roof, I believe that the Angels stopped to listen. BTW she does preach in church and she is a Gospel singer at her roots. That's why you see the Gospel influence in many of her arrangements. As a long time Sohyang admirer, IMO this isn’t her best vocally, although still amazing, but she had been advised not to sing in this show by the doctor because she was still recovering from her latest bout of pneumonia. Heaven only knows how it would’ve sounded if she’d been 100% healthy!!!!!

Another great song with insane range, and it’s not that long, is DREAM at the DMC festival. The song Everyone is a marathon of a song. It’s another great one. Be sure to do Dream as not many reactors so it and they are missing out. Oh, and wait till you hear her rap/sing. Super fast speed, long passages with no breathing and still hitting every note dead on. She is in my opinion, the best female vocalist on the planet, and she will never be recognized unless the song gets on the west can put aside the snobbish ways and give her an award. She does not sing for fame or fortune, so unless someone steps up and makes this happen, it never will. She is too great and I am so honored to be able to witness her before I am gone from this earth.

Who would have ever thought that performance was not on her best condition, l heard a story that she had pneumonia at that time singing this song, she interviewed and she was crying after this performance that it wasn't satisfying to her.. she thought she has ruined the one of her favorite song, according to her standdard. But we all know, Queen(Kim) Sohyang did it again~ slained all. You got to check her next I have nothing Also Oh Holy Night You will see how she performs when she is on better? or normal condition. She was also one original masked singer show in Korean series. What it means.. More to see! :)

***WHEN Kim, So Hyang Sung "Raise Me Up"**** Kim, So Hyang has always struggled with her health during her lifetime with those many illnesses.. uterine cancer, hepatitis, chronic pneumonia, etc.. The night she sung You Raise Me Up She just got out of Hospital the night before and was advised Not to sing...So she did this....lol but did spend next 10 days in Hospital ...Even She Admitted...was the end of Her Singing again !!! It's really a miracle this one of the most skilled vocalist of all time could be in such poor condition. And definitely she is much more than great technician and has Perfect Control of Her Gift...and Her singing is so special.
