First Time Hearing STEELHEART - I'll Never Let You Go (REACTION!!)

Its funny seeing a younger guys reaction to this. Ive been playing guitar, bass and drums a long time, since the 80s (Im 43 now) and we covered everything from Skid row, to Pearl Jam, to Nirvana. Let me tell you I knew Steelheart from WAY BACK in the day. You know why we couldn't ever cover it? Never met a vocalist that could hit this range! This song is literally in the top 5 of most difficult to sing songs of ALL TIME.

Back in the day when there still was record stores i heard this song the first time, And I was blown away! His range is out of this world, I am still today a metal head and listen to so much metal and yet no one has shown this level of range in the voice! And it is so funny to see people react to this, Almost everybody has the same reaction as me. Awesome reaction!

Yep it's a late 80's band....put out their debut album back in 90...I still remember waiting for this album when it very first hit the music store shelves back in the day....bought it on cassette tape....played that tape a thousand times on those hot summer nights with my girl until it curled up like a potato chip in the hot sun....I will always remember this music..it has added that passion and raw emotion to my love life...most definitely

Steelheart had its breakthrough album right before Nirvana got its breakthrough and killed the genre. That may be why you've never heard them before. But I think they were some of the very best of the genre. Mila's vocals are out of this world.

Many said that this band is just a one hit wonder because they are late in the 80's glam rock/hair band game (1989) but the band Firehouse in similar genre was also formed in the same year and the got much success.

These guys were huge for a minute i think in 91 or 92 they were playing a show and a piece of stage equipment malfunctioned and fell on him and broke multiple bones in his face. He honestly wasnt the same after that. I mean he worked hard to get back to where he got to but its a wonder he came back at all. Amazing group. I highly recommend shes gone acoustic version. He really shows of his range and scaling
