Only got to see him once back in the mid-80's but it was in a small club and I was directly in front of him. The stage was only a couple feet high and if I had stepped over the little railing in front of it I could have touched him. Of course if I had the guys with the overly tight t-shirts would have thrown me out "Ron White style" LOL. The opening act was Johnny Copeland who was worth the price of admission all by himself.
