Super Junior is truly one of the legendary groups of kpop. It is really rare to see a group that has been around as long as they have been still working together as a kpop group. So many groups end up disbanding or just going on "hiatus" for ages. Super Junior is still going strong. Several of their members do a lot of solo work and some are also successful actors. Super Junior's label (SM) originally planned to make SJ a "super group" in the way NCT works(same label), but back then fans got very attached to the original group so much, so instead of having mix & match sub units the way NCT is, they just made a separate group called Super Junior M (the M stands for Mandarin, as they focused on a Chinese audience) and kept the original group intact. Super Junior has many many classic hits. Sorry Sorry is probably one of their most famous early hits. The gorgeous high note vocals you loved were sung by KyuHyun and Ryeowook - both are successful solo singers known for their gorgeous vocals.

0:20 - "I don't know why its taken me this long to react to them" because you are reacting to like 40 million groups, my guy! It's amazing that you got to them at all, considering how many reactors completely ignore the older groups. (Bet you didn't guess some of these guys are approaching 40 years old!) 6:58 - That would be Ryeowook, 1/3 of Suju's main vocal line. The other two are Kyuhyun (he sang the ending line) and Yesung (black hair with the bleached underlayer). Three of the most famous and unique voices in KPop, and part of the reason SuJu's sound is so recognizable. Their voices are so different, but balance against each other so well - Ryeowook's clear and bright tone contrasts perfectly with Kyuhyun's deeper range and darker tone, and Yesung's ability to keep a breathy, intimate sound while he belts at the top of his lungs is unlike anything I have ever heard anywhere else. "Mango" is a great song, but it's kinda... idk, too ~normal~ for Super Junior. It's a good showcase of their vocals but not really a great showcase of their versatility or their general wackiness. Their other more recent songs, like "Don't Wait," "Burn the Floor" and "House Party" are better for showing you who they really are, which is to say an extraordinarily talented bunch of goddamn WEIRDOS. I'd suggest "House Party" next for you, and if you REALLY want to see who they are, do both the music video and the "Special Video - House Ver." And make sure you pay attention to the lyrics to that one - in that case, they really matter! But they can really do ANY genre. Their earliest stuff, back in the mid-late 2000's, swung wildly between hard rock influence (Twins, Don't Don), candy pop (Miracle, U, Happiness), and sweet ballads (Marry U, It's You). Around 2009-2011 they slid into the heavily electronic sound that was popular at the time, with tons of autotune and synth (Sorry Sorry, Bonamana, Mr. Simple, A-Cha), which is when they really blew up, becoming one of the biggest groups of 2nd Gen. In the mid-2010s they started moving towards a more mature sound influenced by older genres like jazz and swing, culminating in what I call the "Sexy Men In Sexy Suits" era (Mamacita, This Is Love/Evanesce, Devil, Black Suit) and in the late 2010s they started leaning more into a Latin influenced vibe (Otra Vez, Lo Siento, I Think I) and also did their only major full hip-hop track (2YA2YAO). Now in the 2020s they're basically doing whatever the heck they feel like, and they DESERVE it, because they've been together for nearly 20 years and very few groups can say that. (This is my ult bias group, and the group that got me into KPop back in 2012. Can you tell? Lol.)

Thank you for your reaction esp to appreciate suju's vocal. The trio on the bridge part actually the main vocalist. They also in the sub-unit group Super Junior KRY (Kyuhyun, Ryeowook, Yesung). But I can tell you that all of them really have a great and unique vocal. Basically almost all the member ever did musical (some member even get musical project regularly) so no doubt about their vocal. 17+ years experience made them excel in many thing, not even as an idol, but more wide. Suju have more than 800 songs from any kind of genre.. have fun to listen to them in the future

Super Junior is so important to me. I've been their fan since 2009 and their music and tv shows got me through my angsty teen years, deaths in family and just growing up. I remember watching music videos, lives and tv episodes over and over again just to laugh or to feel something. Thanks for checking them out! My fave songs are probably It's You and Evanesce. Thank you for checking out Super Junior. They are my first love in K-Pop back in 2006. They debuted in 2005. So, til this day, they have been together for 17 years as a group And... they don't have a specific genre in K-Pop I think.. bcs they tried anything.. Latin genre, Hip Hop, Ballad, EDM, Pop, Rock and many more. Mango is another catchy.. and the main vocals literally K.R.Y. (Kyuhyun, Ryeowook, Yesung). And the one with high note is Ryeowook (if it's hard to pronounce his name, you can go by Wookie instead). But, this time around.. I feel like Suju didn't have exact positions in the group since their voices are amazing.. all of them (even the rappers can sing and the one who are not a lead or main rapper can rap too). They also write lyrics. Some of them also doing MC job. Even Shindong (the guy who fell off in the end of the video already got his Doctorate title and directed other artists music videos). With Eunhyuk (the guy in red hair), Shindong directed their own concert called Super Show. Multitalented and funny. And some of them are actors too. Super Junior is one of those groups that have a very particular style, very unique, different from kpop in general. It has excellent voices and great artists, without forgetting that it is one of the leading groups. Sun members are 35,36 years old and above. That is to say, they are the "senior" of kpop, it could be said, and they are still singing and being a success. I love them and their rhythm is unmistakable to me. You should listen to a few more songs to realize it.

Super Junior likes to put humor and jokes in many of their music videos, Mango is more tame from them but a great song still. My first kpop fandom was ELF (SuJu's fandom) and they still have a special place in my heart. All of them are extremely talented and all of them have successful solo careers. If you want some crazyness I recommend "Mamacita", "Devil", "Black suit" and "Spy". They also have one legendary song above others, "Sorry sorry", basically everyone in kpop scene knows it.

Loved this, it's awesome when people are drawn to the higher vocals as they're my fave too!! Ryeowook's voice is incredible, most of those high notes were him. It was great that you took the time to explain what you liked at the end, lots of people seem to skip this and it makes them seem like they're not genuine. I'm a relatively new fan but they are my fave of all in Kpop. Not only are they incredibly strong & adaptable to have made it this far in such a tough industry, they are so talented and extremely funny! 💙 Edit: the best thing about them is their live performances, they are absolutely *solid* as a live band!!

Theres much to see in this group.Suju isnt just an average kpop group. they are second generation of kpop and cemented the path for many other groups. They are still strong because they are extremely good. Always trying new genres and have great vocals. Try as they said in the comments , Burn the floor ( try also Superman and raining spell for love to notice the amazing wide range of their voices) and Mamacita ( performance and movie version its great, Super Junior besides the voices are a very theatrical group as you are going to realize lol!)

Thank you for taking a chance on SUPER JUNIOR 😊💙 I would go as far as to say that you don't really know kpop, if you don't know or at least heard of SUPER JUNIOR. They are kpop history - legends - classics. And yes, vocal Kings. They're one of the few groups, that made kpop go international in the late 00's. They helped form kpop to what it is today and they're one of the most succesful and longest running, regularly active groups, debuting in 2005. 'Mango' is from their 11th full album. They have a long, really interesting and important history, if you're into kpop. And well, South Korean entertainment in general, as several of the members are long time active as actors and MC's of award- and variety shows. If you've seen 'Weekly idol', 'Knowing bros', 'I can see your voice' or almost any S. Korean award show, you've seen some of the members already 😉 They're literally everywhere in the South Korean entertainment world and has been for the past decade 😅 The vibe you mention, you get from them, the good and fun energy, is SUPER JUNIOR in a nutshell. They are some of the funniest, most chaotic and lowkey celebrities you'll come across. One of the most crazy and missmatched groups, but also a group that yes, just give good mood and makes you laugh 😆😊 They make music in any genre, from their rock/EDM songs 'Don't don' and 'Bonamana' to latino, to fun and party dance, to hiphop, to pop and slow/soft ballads. Oh and to litteraly opera, in their latest concert show 😅 vocal 🤴 👑 indeed. Now, I'll recommend their song, the kpop cult song, that made kpop go international. A song that countless of younger idols have covered since, one way or the other. A song, you've most likely already heard, digging into kpop 😉 SUPER JUNIOR'S song from 2009, 'Sorry, sorry'

If you think other groups are crazy, you're in for a ride with SuJu, not just regarding the diversity of their material, but their zany, ironic and often camp :) humour (the outro was a small taste of that). Please check out "Sorry, Sorry", "Sorry, Sorry - Answer", "Black Suit", "Devil" and "Burn the Floor", "Raining Spell For Love (Live Remake Version)", "Super Clap" and "2YA2YAO". Yes, SuJu are mostly renowned for their vocals, and with good reason, esp their subunit "KRY", consisting of Kyuhyun, Ryeowook (who did the high notes here) and Yesung, which specialises in ballads. They have good rappers too though, Eunhyuk, Shindong and Heechul. They are not quite as strong as dancers, never were, since they are more disparate in skills than most groups, but they have two great dancers that also perform as a duo, Donghae and Eunhyuk (D&E), and as a group they compensate with simpler, but very clever and effective choreographies. Their songs are often very catchy, even if you're not a fan of the group, or in the case of songs that you happen to like less, they tend to stick with you. But in a way, music is just their "medium", their main appeal are their personalities and also their visuals, which they have maintained amazingly well over the course of 17 years. Personally I even find them more attractive than ever, I like their maturity compared to other K-Pop groups (I only became a fan in 2018). Their newer stuff is more polished, but their early, lower budget stuff also has its charms, it's even crazier and more experimental, but less of it is on the web and less often subtitled, and it's more culturally specific, so it's less "accessible" in both a literal and figurative sense.

First of all, Super Junior is on of the best groups in the second generation of kpop at all, and they are my favourite second generation group (they first debut in 2005 and get known in 2007)!... Thank you for checking out SuJu!!!!!!!💙💙💙 If you want rap verses then I suggest 2YA2YAO, House Party (the ELFs know why i am including this in the rap suggestion 😉) and Hanryang which isn't fully a SuJu but includes 1 of the members rapping and another member shot the video For vocals, I suggest "Black Suit", "Burn the Floor", "Sorry Sorry Answer" and any of their KRY subunit songs (fun fact SuJu KRY was the 1st subunit in kpop history) For fun, high energy - Lo Siento, Mamacita, Super Clap, Sorry Sorry, Devil, Bonamana, Mr Simple, SPY, I think I If you are looking for rock - they have done it with "Don't Don" and the live rock version of Bonamana They also have 2 major anthems that just pump you up - The Crown (more recent) and Superman - I recommend the live versions of both because they hit so hard Sorry for so many suggestions 😅 theyre going into their 18th year and are regarded as one of the kings of KPop and are OGs so there is a lot to choose from.
