When we found out about this collab we couldn’t believe that this was even possible. Taeyang is part of 2nd gen band BigBang. Pre debut and to this day, BTS looked up to BigBang. Early Jimin you will hear him talk about Taeyang was someone he looked up to. This was special for both.

Taeyang is from the group BigBang and is actually Jimin's idol and influenced him a great deal. Taeyang's influence (in part) was Michael Jackson.. so you can see his influence in both of them. Jimin always dreamed of one day being able to collab with Taeyang one day and now look at him! Never be afraid to dream big!

♦Taeyang is part of the legendary group BigBang, who’re 2nd generation Kpop, also one of the first to be known internationally, debuting in 2006. Jimin had Taeyang as one of his role model growing up. Ringa, Linga is another Taeyang solo song which is also upbeat, where he also dances, which I hope you also get a chance to react to, as opposed to Eyes, Nose, & Lips, which is a slower, more of a ballad. Also from BigBang, the group he’s from, Fantastic Baby, Loser, If You (preferably the Live From Bangkok vid),& Bang, Bang Bang, are other songs to react to. Also another must to react to is Good Boy that feat both Taeyang & G-Dragon (leader of BigBang) who also composes most of their songs as well as for others, raps but also is great vocalist, just like Taeyang who also raps as well. Also composes & writes lyrics as well. All members have done solos and collabed with each other. Seeing BigBang live performances are on another level. Just like BTS is now. BTS members have all looked up to this group. But especially Jimin had Taeyang as one of his role models growing up. To not only end up being invited to work with him as well as even be involved in composing the song I’m sure, meant so much to Jimin. Also performing outside of BTS allows Jimin to use more of his full registry including more mid to lower range notes that some aren’t even aware of that he executes equally well as his phenomenally amazing high notes. You can actually see BTS in the audience during one of BigBang MAMA awards performances. They back then always won most of the awards, and closed the show with each yr some of the most memorable, so hype, so energetic performances, that are all must sees that I also highly recommend, just like BTS performances have been at these award shows.but BigBang came first being 2nd generation, BTS 3rd.
