Boston's Tavares brothers gave us "It Only Takes A Minute", "Remember What I Told You To Forget", "Check It Out", "She's Gone", "Don't Take Away Our Music" and much, much more! They started off with slow cuts but didn't skip a beat when they effortlessly moved into disco. They were fortunate enough to be chosen to be included in the 40 million dollar selling "Saturday Night Fever" soundtrack and, though this wasn't want the track chosen for that album, it is the one they are most known for! And each of the Tavares brothers could lead!

1975 disco started in the big cities then trickled down to regular smaller cities into 1980s in my home town l met my husband dancing to Tavares.this time was a blast.❤m❤

I was about 19 when this came out. I think this was in the beginning of disco so I'm sure it was played in disco's. I remember it did pretty well on the charts too.

Even people who hate Disco Love this song. Many people consider this song to be one of the greatest Disco songs ever. Whenever this song is played people still pack the dance floor. These guys have a huge catalog of songs. Started out in the in the late 50s as Chubby & the Turnpikes. Released two fantastic singles on Capitol Records 67/68.they are all Brothers that hail from New Bedford MA. BrothaD well worth diving into the rabbit hole ✌️
