1977, this song meant little to me as life was just starting to get good. Seventeen and I'd never lost a person in my life. I partied just as hard as I could. Now I look back and think of people I've lost along the way. But every memory, every moment, is still with me. Me, physically I am an old sixty-three. I partied some years off for sure. But I'm still having a great time. Some would say I didn't achieve much, to which I would reply, "Look at this cool rock I found!", or "I cheered that person up pretty good!" I loved your reaction Fay, and you sing anytime you want. ❤❤❤❤

Excellent reaction, Fay, and your understanding of this song is spot on. It's too bad we all have to pass away eventually but a life well lived is a blessing and also, there is hope beyond the here and now. Keep up the great work, Fay! 🙏😊❤️🌹

I was a young teen when this song came out. Loved it. But, now as a 64 year old. It is a sad song! Still love it though! Great reaction!

This song is basically a reinterpretation of a Jacques Brel song. A Belgian singer/songwriter/actor/pilot who moved to France in the 50's to avoid a bourgeois lifestyle and start a legendary career in music. One of my favorites.
